Michu will be a villa player by monday/tuesday at the latest.

If true then I hope the medical team take a proper look at his ankle. If we get the Swansea player before the injury then great, if we get the player he has been last few seasons then I hope he is on a pay as you play deal.

I've been thinking for a couple of weeks Michu would be a good signing. Much better than Berbatov or Adebayor. TS at Wolves last night so could have been scouting either Afobe or Austin

I can't see this happening.
Not good enough on current form and fitness.
Plenty of other options out there.
Nzogbia and Senderos on there way out.
Bristol City are after NZogbia.

I hope TS looks at Hernandez or Remy.
We need a proven goalscorer, squad is good and improved but what happens when we have injuries or our new signings have problems settling!

Bacuna just signed a 5 year extension. Think TS is going to keep him at right back, so can't see us buying anyone for there. He's going to have his dodgy moments, as Villa fans, don't get on his back the second he slips up, given time & coaching he could be a right sided Amavi, exciting times 👍🏻

15 million and 80K a week is hardly a 'gamble'. Austin has done it for one season and for me he lacks pace.
TS with his signings seems to want pace and power in all areas. Benik Afobe from The Dingles fits the bill perfectly and a great age.

Austin has an underlining knee injury. He failed a medical at Hull before going to QPR and £15m is a huge gamble IMO.
Very good player who will score goals but 27 now and on £70k+ a week would be a gamble.

I think we are strong enough at right back when okore gets back fit I'm sure he will be pushing for a place, maybe then Richards will move out, bacuna and Hutton are alright going forward but with the bigger teams when we are under the cosh not great at defending, so I would push for a proven striker, I'm not convinced on Austin his price tag is to much for somebody who has only played 1 season in the prem, talk today that defoe isiant happy at Sunderland he has a pretty good ratio

Jerry armstrong was in the bar a couple of weeks ago an told me TS was trying to get a deal done for michu. just seen another report stating we're interested. perhaps he's rekindle his interest in him again.

Its a gamble, like when Benteke arrived. Funny how no one wants to gamble on Charlie Austin.

Would love to see this happen , but personally would love to see austin at villa , out and out striker ,hungry , young would fit in well with sherwoods philosophy.

seeing that newcastle are going out and signing these highly rated names for big fees I'm still wondering whether that marquee signing is coming. if you read into tim's recent press release he has said that the "balance of the side is getting a lot better" I'm reading that as more are going to leave with more coming in. i'm reading loads of BS linking us with every player under the sun but I've got a strong feeling that tim has someone/players in the work and is just waiting for these players to leave to bring them in. don't want to sound negative but every fan seems to be thinking that rudi will bag 15+ but what happens if that doesn't happen? still think a goal machine is needed and I reckon tim feels the same
thoughts????

i agree that a goal machine is needed. Rudy scored on his debut and i think he will bag a few more but to rely on him is madness. if him and gabby is our strikeforce then we may aswel throw in the towel now.

love the midfield we have and the defence just need 1 goalscorer and we will be flying.

Wow just wow.what about Kozak? Ayew? Let the team gel. it's only been 2 games and was a promoted team and a team that has spent 100millions on players

Can you imagine Tim saying to randy. 'we need a striker. ' Because I cant. Rudy, kozak, ayew, gabby, even Sinclair, I'd rather we stuck with that and still left some opportunities for youth. I know Robinson has left on loan for 6 months, but let's not flood the team of new signings and leave no place for youth, and no place for the players we have purchased.

gabby isn't going to start scoring goals now In his career. ayew has never been a prolific goal scorer. which leaves 2 big men. I don't want to seem negative because I think the team looks great and we have started the season well but if I had one concern it would be which of them strikers is going to score goals and what sort of partnership can be made with them. i'd say if we don't sign a striker jack and the midfield are going to need to score a lot of goals this season

Tim Sherwood will bring in at least 2 more players and be active on deadline day.
A striker will be brought in, I'm sure of it.
I just hope he doesn't go back for adebayor when spurs sign Berahino.

Love it. A bit of star attraction, like when we had Mersin and Ginola in claret and blue.
