Article on sky sports saying swanseas "long drawn out" takeover is nearly done and have to wait for the owners test which can take up to 10days.

So the owners feast isn't a quick 1 day thing and it is close season.

01 Jun 2016 17:13:18
ours has been going on a week already. by the end of this week it should all be done.

01 Jun 2016 17:19:37
Feast = test.

And Swansea will only have the premiership doing theirs villa have both them and football league.

01 Jun 2016 20:46:59
they doing it together so same difference.

02 Jun 2016 11:56:22
'Kong Villa' didn't u say it would be completed by Tuesday? The amount of rubbish u spew, I'm surprised the daily mail haven't come knowing at your door to be there next journo.

02 Jun 2016 12:50:34
That's harsh deano!

Are the mail that desperate?!

02 Jun 2016 15:59:42
oh excuse me. I am so very sorry for being a few days out.

02 Jun 2016 06:19:39

02 Jun 2016 21:04:20
Kingy, don't listen to them fella, i never doubted you once. (well probably about 30 times really, i was wrong2)but as usual, like the burger, your King!

01 Jun 2016 11:59:42
According to bbc tony xia has shown his finances and it is confirmed he has the money. The takeover is not going to fall through.

01 Jun 2016 12:07:21
Pat Murphy from BBC just put all the lazy journalist trying to get a pay check making up stories back in their hole, Xia has shown proof of 52mil already paid into a UK bank account.

Just read the same news Bucky. I think any sensible Villa fan will hold judgement until anything becomes offcial.

It’s frustrating waiting for news as we’re all so desperate for change, but the amount of misinformation being spouted by some media outlets and others ‘in the know’ is just embarrassing now. It’s too easy these days for a few unprofessional media sources on the internet to come up with a controversial headline just to get a few hits and sell some advertising space. Unfortunately these then spread like wildfire and a few people on here like to fly off the handle rather than thinking about it first.

As quickly as we want/ need to move forward as a club, a few extra days/ weeks spent making sure everything is in place and legit is better for everybody – Just ask some other big clubs what happens if you rush takeovers with anyone who has a bit of cash.
We’ve gone with the leading bid from a process that was looked after by Hollis and various legal groups employed specifically for this purpose, let's trust that people far more in the know and qualified than us wouldn’t have let it get this far if they weren’t confident Xia would pass with flying colours. If he doesn’t, we can moan all we like, but a lack of news isn’t necessarily bad news. Pre-season fixtures are confirmed and the transfer window isn’t even open yet. For all we know we already have five transfers, a new board and coaching staff lined up and ready to go. We’re hardly being left behind. Chillout.

here here.

01 Jun 2016 19:24:14
Up the villa. Let's get behind our team. We back where we belong soon.

01 Jun 2016 08:17:45
According to daily mail takeover will be rejected and Lerner has been told this as well.

01 Jun 2016 08:34:27
this is all coming from the daily mail and now a couple of other papers are picking up on it. got to be honest guys I think he has the funds from what I've seen and as I have said all along I think it's government backed but not sure what to make of this now. one things for sure the club need to release a statement and let us know what's going on.

01 Jun 2016 08:40:28
Well we know thee won't be a statement, not villas style.

01 Jun 2016 08:43:27
there has to be soon if it's true and Lerner has been told. the question then is can we go to the 2nd choice and hope they still want to but and get it through quick or are we stuck with randy and no investment?

01 Jun 2016 10:36:33
Sky sports reporting that rdm about to be named as boss. I know, even if lerners still in charge we would need a manager but you would assume di Matteo has had assurances from xia's men to agree a deal and not been talking to Lerner. I've always thought that the takeover would be fine but this morning I'm starting to worry a bit.

01 Jun 2016 10:54:04
same here cpmm84. until I see it on either bbc or ssn or villa site I don't belive it tbh. papers talk more bs than me lol.

01 Jun 2016 10:58:41
He wouldn't of talked to Lerner any ways that's why hollis was braught in, he conducted the interviews.

01 Jun 2016 11:09:54
Seen it in max 3 papers, surely if it were try with solid evidence behind all of them would jump on it?

01 Jun 2016 11:24:43
yes and they are all quote the mail.

01 Jun 2016 11:58:06
Take over still on. Tony xia has confirmed his finances but it according to bbc.

01 Jun 2016 12:46:04
bbc is a more trusted source than all the bs this morning.

01 Jun 2016 12:55:11
The club will issue a statement as and when they have something confirmed to share. They already got their fingers burnt for the mix up on the last statement with regards to Xia's business ventures. If they issue one now that's proved to have been specualtive or innaccurate there'll be a riot on here. Think about it, what could they put in a statement right now that we don't know already?

Dear fans - We're waiting on the governinig bodies to do do a full audit of Xia's ability to run our club before handing over the keys. We hope it will be fininshed soon.
Huga and kisses, Villa.

01 Jun 2016 14:29:46
We could have saved a lot of time and energy on this thread by carefully reading the first words of the first posting ‘According to the Daily Mail . ’ It is therefore guaranteed lazy journalistic bullpoo made up by apprentice wannabe journos who all live in north London and think the West Midlands is Ealing . Normal Daily Mail behaviour would be to condemn Dr Tony out of hand purely on the basis that he is foreign.

01 Jun 2016 15:10:15
Exactly WittonWisdom - The Daily Mail reporting the deal won't go through, then Ray Wilkins agrees and also doesn't think Villa will get promotion next year. That is great news for Villa fans as those two intellectual powerhouses have as much chance of getting it right as I have at playing 'hide the sausage' with Kelly Brook.

Takeover, attacking football and promotion here we come.

01 Jun 2016 10:11:55
I would of thought that the club would of come out with a statement before this story broke to the press, interesting to see how this one pans out or is it more garbage press to give the bluenoses something to dance about, let's be honest the press have gotten it wrong on just about everything during this saga.

01 Jun 2016 10:24:13
I just find it difficult to believe that the press have been given this info by their sources when you bear in mind that none of these papers could find out for sure who was even buying the club until it was announced, I don't think Lerner would of leaked it that he had received conformation that the deal was to be rejected either if you consider the secrecy that surrounded the deal.

01 Jun 2016 07:30:12
Ray Wilkins and Mike Parry both just said on Talksport that they are heard through sources land Dr Tony will not pass the test I find this very interesting as from what I have seen he has the funds to do so easily watch this space.

01 Jun 2016 08:36:04
bloody predictive text. is this a newspaper story that willkins and parry have picked up on and saying they belive or is there more to it .

01 Jun 2016 07:49:05
Times a ticking, what are the odds on old randy being there for the start of the season, now that's a sobering (and scary) thought.

01 Jun 2016 17:15:27
about 0% deal be done by end of week.

01 Jun 2016 23:40:20
Kingy, for the sake of our collective sanity; please be right!

31 May 2016 23:30:54

Well it looks like things are about to start moving lads so ready yourselves for the ups and downs of the coming season, with the local derby matches and the banter that comes with them it's sure to be a white knuckle ride with many topics of conversation but as the good old saying goes "the cream will always rise to the top" and if you look back at our history that is a pretty accurate statement about our club, sure we have had our rough times but we are without doubt the most successful midland team out there and it's never too long before we are able to return all the jokes and jibes with interest and payback is oh so sweet.

When the announcement finely comes clearing our new owner to take control our rival fans will begin to realize this mans capabilities and great wealth and you can rest assured that their jokes, insultive comments and accusations that they are sure to throw will only be derived from their overwhelming jealousy that once more dominates their sorry lives.
