In what way is OGS better than Martinez? Is winning the Danish League better than securing Premier League status three years running, playing good football, spending next to no money, with a club that has no right being in the Championship, let alone the Premier League? Martinez has achieved miracles at Wigan, Give him some credit.

Not danish its the norweigan league

Not that it makes a difference to your comment but it was the Norwegian League that his team won...

A team in a relegation battle sworn to mid table then he joins and instantly they become the top team of norway playing great football. I think would add something new to villa which we havent had before and we desperately need

And what a great opertunity for him to show the world what he can do as a manager in the worlds best football league, he's been given the stage to perform, and frankly his Knowledge of the premier league is far greater than Martinez and Lambert put together. Fact is he has a very full pedigree,

Well then can you explain the widely reported comment of ' Im not looking for a new job' says OGS
Agree1
Disagree0
As for the 'I'm not looking for a new job' comment, OGS said he was flattered that a 'big club' like Villa would ask to speak to him about becoming its manager. He said his dream's to manage a PL team but he hadn't expected offers quite so early in his managerial career. His comment has been taken out of context and lots appears to have been lost in translation. He meant he hadn't gone seeking the job, that Lerner or Faulkner or whoever had approached him.
Agree3
Disagree0
The reports that sly spurts and b8c etc said he didnt want the job were all wrong due to translation he actually said its down to us now if he joins
Agree1
Disagree0
OGS also stated he had informal talks with Villa as he felt flattered by the interest of Villa being a BIG club in the prem and has ambitions of being a prem manager.
He said nothing has been offered and he's not looking for a new job and is happy to honour his contract with Molde but if Villa offer him the job he'll then decide on his future

OGS is waiting for the next development from villa .Faulkner has balls up big time with the last managerail appointments.learner is doing the right thing interviewing a few canidates .we never interviewed anybody when O'Neil was appointed .we never interviewed with houllier.we made a call to wigan but never interviewed martinez and went and got mctwit.the board are looking at all options .let's keep the faith .we have though the ginger season and come though.learner will Do the right thing this
time then get rid of Faulkner.
For me OSG with a director of football to oversee transfers
Believable3
Unbelievable2
Fat boy Faulkner has said no Director of Football, but that is a real oversight but the real issue is the smoke and mirrors to hide the lack of financial muscle to even be in the top 10.
We need a change from owner, executives, structure, management, scouting, players. The only thing that currently works is the yoof set up and big shout out to Sid The Skills Machine Cowans.

Change our owner for who? Make a suggestion? If randy walked we would be ruined you clown. How about being positive for a change
Agree3

Do people not realise Cowans does not actually do much at Villa. Its Maccy and his team that do it all Cowns just does the cones etc and is more of a ambassador

So, OSG turns us down? dear oh dear! I wonder why?
Believable1
Unbelievable8
We have not a bean to build a team, we don't have any ambition to compete Lerner just wants the mega bucks that comes with being in the premiership.
I am going to throw up............ My beloved Aston Villa are about to do an even worst impression of Dirty Leeds: sink into oblivion
Agree2

Thats not true.
Lerner said his decision isn't made up yet!
Agree4

Seems odd that within a space of a year, 2 young up and coming managers have had an opportunity to manage at a much bigger club, yet after talking with Lerner, have decided to stay where they are. It makes you wonder what he has been saying to them about the constraints they would have to work within. I fear the worst for us as a club unless we are taking over by someone with real financial muscle

OGS says he'll honour his contract for the remaining 2 years
Hey here's one what about Roy Keane he'd be good with the backing of lerner and he'd command the players to

Looks like you lot above have jumped the gun have you ever heard the saying don't believe everything the media say its come out that the media have got it wrong (no surprise) and that he's waiting to hear off villa for a second meeting if they want a second meeting with him support the club not slag the club off!!

Think a little before you turn on the club

Being concerned about your club and expressing it is a whole different thing to turning on your club

It's poyet & lambert who will be interviewed by villa next week. Martinez has not been approached. It will be OGS, poyet or lambert leading the lion into battle next season.

Norwich have denied villa permission to talk to Lambert, Norwich have been thrown into turmoil over Holt's transfer request which has been turned down he still has 2 years to run, Lambert only signed a new improved contract last summer, think we will have to look elsewhere, They will slap an enormouse great fee on Lambert and we know Lerner don't like handing out money for anything, lets face it our next manager will come from the ranks of the unemployed

Randy Lerner has informed Solskjaer that the club has other managers to talk with.
The talks were informal & Solskjaer will return to Molde for now with the Molde board furious at him.

I.e Martinez already spoke with Villa (on Thursday) that is why he didn't have talks with the Kop.

Like Randy told me last week when I went to have a look at his car, "I do have other people phoning me up about it, and someone is coming tomorrow", Has the penny dropped yet

A depressing rumor going about that Solskjaer may turn down the villa post to manage Wigan (as Martinez is inevitably going to leave) apparently Wigan would be his preferred destination being so close to Manchester, expect this rumor to pick up more tomorrow.

Have heard this myself, if he actually wants to work under Dave Whelen then good luck to him! - we can do better, Paul Lambert step on up!!

Wigan an't bigger enough for him don;t worry he is as good as signed up

Reports in Wigan say Martinez has been given the support from the Wigan board and will be at Villa next week, don't shoot me I'm only passing on information recieved from a Wigan friend of mine, Onwards and upwards here we go

Sven Goran Eriksson been seen at Birmingham tonight. I say he probably got an appointment for talks at Villa Park, then again it could be West Brom. I think he probably make a decent manager at Villa more than at West Brom. He dose better with bigger clubs. His records still holds that. His last job at Manchester City, did very good only to be axed unfairly. City fans can tell you that, he was taking them to places.
Well am getting in a 150/1 bet now on him landed the Villan hot seat. Wish me luck :)

I was seen in Brum on 19th along with many other people, but we did not have an appointment with Villa.
