Aston Villa are still set for a August takeover The Roy Keane deal has hit a snag due the takeover, Roy is seeking assurances that there will still be a job once the takeover is complete. Paul Lambert is currently being given at least 12 months after the takeover to turn things around. We are also are in discussions with Tottenham Hotspur over Lewis Holtby and Nacer Chadli for £13millon once our takeover is complete.
Holtby admires Lambert and has been quoted as saying he learnt a lot from watching him. Lambert has also made no secret of the fact
of admiring chadli previously and more recently saying Holtby is the kind of players he wants in. Ryan Bertand is somebody else who when the takeover is completed could sign permanently expect a £5 million deal. There will be another £22 million to spend expect this to be spent on 2 players of 'experienced youth' unsure yet of names but will keep you all posted

Believable19 Unbelievable31

Actually makes sense. fingers crossed.

Agree11 Disagree12

Here's hoping be happy with all the above UTV

Agree6 Disagree5

Who is meant to be buying Villa in August?

Agree5 Disagree8

Are we trying to get as many awful left backs as possible.

Agree8 Disagree7

I can see this happening to be honest thought from day 1 when we were put up for sale that the deal would be sorted before the start of the season. Them signings would make sense as well if the takeover was to be complete. I think it will happen.

Agree1 Disagree4

Micky Arison is currently negotiating the fine print on the takeover, the reason for the completion being August is due to pre season being in July. Lambert (and hopefully keane) will be able to assess the team at there disposal, Lambert has already met with Arison when he went to America he made his points on the club and Arison was extremely impressed with the case he put across for his vision of Aston Villa which in all fairness I myself believe in, he has had to put up with championship funds whilst trying to manage a team the size of Villa, a lesser manage would of left by now.
The bomb squad will be asked to pull their finger out during pre season, but if they haven't and nobody has came forward to buy them they will have their contracts brought out.
Clark and potentially Baker are expected to be sent out on loan for 6 months initially with Okore, Vlaar and Senderos providing enough cover. Vlaar has also in prinicipal agreed a new 4 year contract which will be signed when he returns to Villa Park.
Fabian Delph is also expected to sign a new 4 year deal this is to be signed once the takeover is complete.
Agbonlahor is expected to agree a new deal also (not very exciting) he will also be told that next season he is a guaranteed starter.

Agree7 Disagree24

Vlaar going to Manchester United senderos got his squad number on sky.

Agree4 Disagree20

How can new deals be agreed when a block as been put in place till sale of club as gone though? and I would think vlaar will be gone once he returns from WC.

Agree4 Disagree9

Squad numbers not decided yet

Agree6 Disagree4

The deals have all been agreed with Arison's approval, knowing that Delph, Vlaar and Gabby are not only huge fan favourites they are also valuable assets, however until the ink is dry on the takeover nobody can actually sign anything. Vlaar quite clearly stated at the end of last season he wants to win trophies with Villa that isn't something that he would come out and say if he had other plans which he will of no doubt discussed with LVG, who
has been his national coach for a fair amount of time, 1 or 2 games will not make him suddenly re consider Vlaar for Man Utd.

Agree10 Disagree10

TV reporting ki deal with Swansea almost done only problem being swans want him to stay in yaki dah land with the rest of the population who wish they were born english

Agree0 Disagree0

sorry people my source at Aston Villa says Villa have pulled out the lescot deal now as hull have made him a better offer so much for him being a villa fan also villa are back in for ryan again on loan from chelsea for the 2nd time.

Believable7 Unbelievable10

Why are you sorry? disappointed? don't be, would have been an awful signing, big time charlie who cares only about money and isn't any better a defender than vlaar and okore only he'd demand double what they're on, greedy and useless, so glad he ain't joining us and hope we never have to resort to such measures

Agree7 Disagree8

Mike12345, Lescott would never sign for us anyway because of way HE HAD to move out midlands after having his knee's shattered by Johnson Brothers when he was at Wolves, he moved to Everton when he could play again. Matt Murray never recovered.
He been warned never play his football or live perm in West Midlands again.
So Lescott to Villa was never going to happen

Agree14 Disagree8

That's crazy about lescott. I thought he moved to a prem club because he did really well at wolves.

Agree4 Disagree6

Okore is going to be outstanding, watch this space.

Agree9 Disagree3

So how come he's going to west brom now then mike12345?

Agree4 Disagree8

Sorry mike12345 it was aimed at the person who never signed off

Agree0 Disagree7

Whoever put The story about lescott and Murray is totally true. Silverfox

Agree11 Disagree3

The story may well be true, but if he goes to west brom then that's not the reason he won't be coming to villa, that's what I was getting at.

Agree1 Disagree9

The Murray & Lescott rumours are true I doubt he will go to West Brom Albion

Agree12 Disagree3

He's in advanced negotiations with west brom irvine has confirmed this

Agree3 Disagree7

So Lescott is having a medical at West Brom, so the rumour/story true or not has no bearing on whether or not he would of come to Villa or not, it will have been purely down to wages not because he cannot live/play football in the midlands again as I do believe that's where West Brom ply their trade, I rest my case.

Agree3 Disagree9

Haha it makes me chuckle how people on here can disagree with facts there's no wonder half of you expect so much when a clear dose of reality is needed in your lives haha

Agree5 Disagree6

Karen brady's pencil case has been found on the boardroom table maybe she's the mystery buyer
