THIS comes from people close to Mr BENT safc to bid 12 mil to take him back to northeast ?????

Believable5 Unbelievable14

Nearly right it's Newcastle that are in for him

Agree7 Disagree5

I honestly think lambert made the wrong decision with the amount of players he bought and how much for in the summer. Everyone is saying lambert needs time he's had enough bloody time now! Fair enough we have had injuries but that's what you bring in other players for. An article has stated that Lerner has spoken to di matteo's people and there are encouraging signs that he will join villa if lambert gets the sack which if we don't win tomorrow and don't get through against Bradford should happen! Then there is long enough for di matteo to get some better people in.

AVFC TILL I DIE!!

Agree8 Disagree8

Villa have quite clearly stated that they will not sell Bent to any of the teams around them so with Newcastle only a place or two above them its hardly good business is it

Agree11 Disagree2

I'm not sure bent would go back to a club where he is hated due to the way he left

Agree6 Disagree2

Your being deluded by chelsea winning the champions trophy. All Di Matteo did was revert to the previous team because that was what Terry, Lampard and Drogba told him to do.
Better to look at his record with Baggies....Not Great.
'IF' they get rid of Lambert then go for a positive thinker not someone who is going to 'park the bus!'
Adkins has done a fantastic job at saints and if the unthinkable happens he knows how to get promoted.
VILLA FOREVER.

Agree11 Disagree2

Never say never in football m8 its ok saying we won't sell bent to teams around us if that's the case play him the job is to BIG PL THE CLUB is to BIG does not know how to get the best out of star players so he spits he's dummy out and leaves them out

Agree4 Disagree2

This comes from darren bent personally, no it does not. Honestly

Agree1 Disagree1

Agree with many of the comments. If PL had money to spend would he do it wisely enough to stay up? Atkins' buys were not that great this time around. RDM seemed just a front for Terry & Co - not a wonderful job at the Hawthorns in the end. More people seem to be looking ahead to next season and who can get Villa out of the Championship. If that is the case PL and NA seem about on a par. Still at least PL hasn't got an 8 year contract to pay off like Alan Pardew.

Agree1 Disagree1

If bent does go to Newcastle it would be a great deal. He will get injured walking out the door after he's done his medical

A number of clubs are monitoring Albert Adomah's situation at Bristol City, .

The relegation threatened Robins have just appointed Sean O'Driscoll, and one of his first jobs could be to try and fight to keep Ghana star Adomah.

The 25-year-old has just linked up with Ghana for the Africa Cup of Nations, where he has been handed the iconic Number 10 shirt for his country.

But Adomah's domestic future is very much uncertain with clubs from the Premier League and Championship all ready to battle for his signature.

Aston Villa, Swansea, West Brom and Wigan are all believed to have been impressed with Adomah in recent weeks having taken in some of his performances for the Robins.

Believable8 Unbelievable6

He's playing for Ghana today and looks ok...plus derek boateng playing as well....Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu looks a good player from Udinese.

Aston Villa are reportedly pondering a move for former Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo if they decide to call time on manager Paul Lambert's career at Villa Park.

The former Norwich City boss has struggled at the Midlands club and the Premier League outfit currently reside in the bottom three of the table on just 19 points.

It is understood that Villa have made an approach to Di Matteo's representatives asking if the Champions League-winning boss would be interested in the role if it became available and it is believed that Di Matteo is open to taking the job, according to The Express.

Believable14 Unbelievable12

Awful move each manager is getting worse. De matteo was nothing more than Terry's puppet.

Agree12 Disagree10

And what is that going to acheive, we still going to be in the same state regardless, lambert needs backing not sacking!! Just like the young kids do on the pitch ! this window needs to be used and also the summer window! the squad needs to be rebuilt completley and the squad needs to be flexiable enough to change formations during matches but that aren't going to happen without quality signings! atleast 8 players from this squad need to be moved on and replaced with quality !

Agree12 Disagree5

If his representatives did tell the press, the link now would be dead & secondly, why would they tell the press?
Lambert is our man & we must stand by him

Agree12 Disagree5

We need to replace Faulkner not Lambert and Lerner needs to buck his ideas up and back Lambert.

I'm unable to see how relegation is viable economically, but this appears to be where Lerner is taking the club. It is madness, TV revenues fall off a cliff, gate receipts will fall and we will have to sell players like Bent & N'Zogbia at a loss simply to get their wages off the wage bill.

As the saying goes Speculate to Accumulate !

Agree16 Disagree1

Both Villa and Lambert jumped to soon, Lambert is not up to it and Villa will suffer for it all is not greener on the other side,

Agree8 Disagree5

Have you all not seen the rumours elsewhere? None of us REALLY wants PL to go but Di Matteo is being lined up - otherwise RL would have put his hand in his deep pockets by now. Money being held back until the West Brom and Bradford games, presumably? PL wins both = cash to spend. Lose one or the other and RDM in plus money. Failure to act = relegation and huge loss of TV revenue in 2013/14.

Football reduced to simple equations, maybe. But it's a simple game applied to business rules.

Agree13 Disagree4

As much as I would love to see you relegated, if you sack Lambert it will be championship for sure....RDM will need superstars not future stars

Agree8 Disagree1

We don't need rdm go for adkins

Agree4 Disagree5

We don't need rdm or adkins how about we stop complaining and get behind what we have, we were furious with downings lack of loyalty to us when we bought him with a broken leg! lets all take a look in the mirrir and question out own loyalty and get behind the club we love from the players to the staff. yes its a difficult season but its a transition which has been over due.

come on you lions!!
