aston villa will sign andy carroll for 12.5 million if liverpool reject newcastles loan move and view to permanent deal so carroll to VILLA !!

A 15mil bid has been launched mate just came from avfcoffical

That would be an absolute steal. As an LFC fan I think he is worth 15m+ but would rather him go to AV than the Magpies. My mate is a Villa fan so I watch most of Villa matches with him.

I hope your right, but i doubt it

£15m from avfc itself? where can i see that myself!?
LFC want £20m apparently though.
Bent & Carroll would be unstoppable!
LFC would probably prefer dealing with Villa as NUFC is closer to the top 5 positions.
Agree5

I said villa were in talks with Liverpool a couple of days ago. If he can be persuaded he will be at the villa next week. Liverpool would prefer him to go to villa as they still owe money on downing. Watch this space Villa fans.........
Agree2
Disagree3
Supposedly, we could get Carroll for a cut price of £15million. This would be £5million less than what Liverpool want because they still owe us money for Downing and this would cancel that money they owe.

There is NOTHING on avfc official

Super Milan Baros put the S in Hit at both clubs oh and the man beast that is Emile Heskey??

Carroll to head in some goals up front and Bent can finish-Carroll would be a good signing
Agree3

Paul Lambert has stated today that he has no interest in signing Andy Carroll, Stop making all this rubbish up!
Agree2
Disagree2
Carroll is a useful player if you can get the ball to him (like Bent). Last season showed us that we should probably work on getting the ball to the strikers before we go and spend a fortune on a striker. Although, if Lambert feels confident that he can bring a couple of attacking midfielders or wingers in, it's not every day you get to sign someone of Carroll's calibre for £15m, so it's a tricky one in my opinion.

Patrik Berger did very well at liverpool

Quote "all players that have played for LFC and good for Villa" What about Collymore? Possibly the worst buy Villa ever made. Petulant, arrogant, egotist are all phrases used to describe him. When he wanted to play he was great but when he didn't my granny was better!!!
Agree5
Disagree6
Collymore was one of the most mismanaged players in villa's history a great player ruined by a useless money grabbing manager John Gregory
Agree2
Disagree11
How exactly was john gregory a money grabber?? An how was gregory useless? Gregory's time in charge was possibly the most successful period that villa have had over the last 15years bar his final season

Collymore only played when he wanted to play. It always appeared that he thought that he was better than all the other players. He wasted Villa's money and created havoc among the villa faithful. He set examples to the youngsters that should have seen him ....................!

Steve staunton, ray houghton, dean saunders all good players

What's Happening with Yachine Brahami?
Also im suprised no one has linked Owen with a Villa move, i could see Bent and Owen do well up top.

Rennes want a perminant move if this fails we'll get him on loan

Old thinking. I have been disagreed with on many occasions about Owen, but I think that he could be good. Some t-ss-r suggested that I came from across the pond because I used the an Americnism. Owen will always score goals which is more than the Villa forward line did last season. AS for Carroll, I would need to be convinced. But in the days of old that I remember Villa enjoyed a big man up front. However what happens to Bent, perhaps Owen and Gabby. Will Gabby be on his way?
Agree0
Disagree0
Carroll would be amazing for Villa he hasn't really put a foot wrong just needs time to settle in somewhere plus he had a great Euro Championship. Gabbys is a difficult one as he loves the club and can be useful but for a striker i just don't think he is Premier League quality and if we are going to keep him we need goals from all over the place cause we can't rely on him. Would love to see Brahami at the club in any form and an optimistic move try to get Carroll and Owen in so we have a wealth of choice upfront?

Why would we sign him we have 3 right backs now lowthin has signed we need to fill other positions in the team striker winger left back centre back we cant afford to waste 5mil on a 4th right back surely

Hutton has been left out of the US tour which speaks volumes so expect an exit if another right back is bought.

Lowton is a RB who can play across the back an as a midfielder. I reckon he's been bought more as a utility and squad player. There no way we can expect a player who has spent the last 2 years playing in league 1 to be instantly good enough to play prem football! >scg1987

Another five or six set to come in and four or five going out. Ron Vlaar looks a done deal just finalising personal terms with the player. Lambert sees defence needs a shake up and is acting on that and is looking to strengthen further. He is still keen on a deal for ramis and the two clubs are currently negotiating. He is in the market for a new LB and martin olsson could be a possibility. Robert Snodgrass is being mentioned but personally don't see him improving our squad. Lambert is monitoring joe coles situation at liverpool and would like to have the experienced midfielder on loan or permanant if he dropped his wages considerably. Another liverpool player Lambert has refused to rule out a move for is Andy Caroll. Hutton is certain to leave after being left out of the squad to USA. Lambert wants to keep Dunne and with the possibility of Vlaar and ramis coming and wanting to use clarke as CB looks like collins will be on his way out. Makoun may also be leaving due to work permit problems although its understood PL would rather keep him.
