Fabio Capello as told friends that he would love the chance to manage Aston Villa.

He can barely speak english, wouldnt want him any where near villa park.

Capello at villa park would be amazing i would however like to see AVB instead and Randy Lerner to give him £50 million good days back at villa park then season tickets would sell out and we would fill VP every week

TV also say Fabio wants the Chelsea job and the Liverpool job as well as West brom, seems the fella just wants a pay packet, is he the man to manage Villa

Like I said yesterday, well before it hit the bookies, Mick McCarthy is on the shortlist for the Villa job.

Lerner is aware that appointing McCarthy would be unpopular with the fans but the last time he listened to the fans, he dropped Maclaren and went for McCleish.

Lerner believes it was a mistake to have listened to the fans, having been previously convinced that Steve Maclaren was the right man. Lerner still rates Maclaren very highly and has placed him on the shortlist as well. However, it is unlikely that either party will accept the deal.

Martinez and Rodgers won't leave their clubs. Lambert is unconvinced about leaving Norwich for AV.

Consequently, Bruce will the best bet to be appointed Villa manager

Mclaren worked wonders at Forest !! (LOL) Did they win a game when he was manager ? Definately a no no, as is McCarthy and Bruce. Benitez is to much like McLeish in his approach. Let's have someone who believes in attacking football !

Utter tosh! How do either McCarthy or Bruce fit the requirement of finding a dynamic manager to take Villa forward and restore their fortunes and football style. Both are old school and tarnished with failure. That alone is sufficient to make an appointment as risky as appointing the last unhappy incubent. McCarthy is a good, honest bloke but does not represent a tactical step forward. Bruce is simply an idiot. If you can't even send an email, then how do you keep abreast of the latest developments in coaching. Just because the bookies are stoking the odds doesn't mean either are candidates. If either were to be appointed Lerner would hear the howls of derision from Cleveland and I for one, amongst countless thousands, will simply give up!

Poyet, Lambert or even Houghton for the next Villa manager all young with good attacking football styles

And each one like to pick a team with no influence from the board room, It seems they do all the buying and selling if the above post is right
