This isnt a rumour im just throwing a few names out there seeing what people think:
Charlie Adam: Exactly what we need to bolster our midfield probs cost us 6 million.
Adam Johnson (loan with view to permanent) : obviously been mentioned before but tbh i reckon this could be our best signing for years. We still have not replaced downing or young (nzogbia is terrible lets be honest) and we Really need to.
Jermaine Defoe: Proven goalscorer easily form a great partnership with Bent. We will shoot up the table with these two upfront.
Michael Owen: Now dont get me wrong i think he nearly passed it but im sorry this guy was once a fantastic player and cant have lost it all. Even if he comes off the bench at the end of a game to give a new attacking outlet i reckon it will be so worth it. Only thing i see being a problem is wages.
Taye Taiwo (loan): Not sure if hes got a club yet or if hes moved anywhere then if so my bad. If he hasnt i reckon hes a strong lb or rb and we all know thats where we need to strengthen the most.
Javier Hernandez (Loan): Now i can he you all saying 'get lost weve got no chance'. I reckon now that rvp looks certain for old trafford, Hernandez will get little to no playing time. He does not strike me as the type to sit on the bench and pick up his paypacket (i could be wrong). Personally i think if we offered him a loan deal where lets face it he will probably play most if not every game, it may be attractive to him.
As i say these are just a few suggestions (not rumours) it would be nice to hear what people think of them and maybe suggest i few more ideas for players we havent really been linked with.
I would be chuffed if all of them finished out summer spending
Taye Taiwo signed for dynamo kiev a few weeks ago
N'zogbia could be good under a new attacking style of play. Defoe and bent didn't work particularly well at Tottenham and personally don't rate C Adam think he is overrated and found his level at Blackpool or even back with rangers now they are in the third tier of Scottish football! Agree Taiwo would be good signing and actually agree Owen would be a good option as well. Johnson would be fantastic!
Not bad options, we really need to bring new players in quick. but i guess no money again. i would go for Andy Carol
Correct me if im wrong but bent an defoe only played a couple games together at spurs, when spurs signed defoe from portsmouth bent was sold not long after so i dont think its fair judging them on their time at spurs together. Wouldnt disagree with any of the players you mentioned
although im not sure if hernandez an bent would be a good combination as they both are box strikers so would prob take up the same space an make the same runs >scg87
Fair points tbf. I just think that nzogbia needs to just leave because he aint really lived up to the hype. Granted he played in a diabolical system last year but i just think hes too egotistical and selfish. I also agree charlie adam is little overated but his range of passes is unreal at times. I like paul lambert and i think we might do a little better under his guidance, but with the current squad (bent being the execption) is pretty poor and needs a lot of money being spent sensibly to become anything like the team we were. But hey im sure we would all love it to be like football manager :p.

We now have a highly regarded scout in Germany, so you can expect cheap high reward/workman like players coming in.
We have moved on from MON days of over priced English players.
Adam Johnson is a decent player, but we could fill two needs at the same cost and pay them both with less than his wage that hes on now at City.
No loans as only big clubs should go that route.....
