Hi ed is they any truth we have made a bid for -castaignos this would be a great move for the Aston villa {Ed001's Note - I don't know, I do know both yourself and Norwich have been scouting him repeatedly. I really wouldn't be surprised if either moved for him, or both for that matter, but I don't know of any bid right now.}

There are reports that are linking Villa with a move for either Costaignos or Finnbogason, both rumoured to be in the 6-8mil range.

For me, Finnbogason would be the preferred of the two just because he has a different skill set and would compliment Helenius (who just scored again)

I have to agree with you Leroy.

Finnbogason has a great touch, and finds the spaces well, he has made up for the loss of Bas Dost when he left Heerenveen.

Must admit have not seen much of him, but what I have seen he could be a good player for us.

Lets hope there is some truth in it, and its not just another false hope.

Or get both! Replace Benteke & Bent?

Agree7 Disagree6

I think with Wiemann, Gabby, Bowery, Helenius, Benteke (?) and Burke, we have a host of guys that can contribute.

The clear focus is and always has been, an attacking player in the middle. And from match reports Leandro Bacuna had a very good match in that role.

He had two or three good shots on goal and was credited with the assist for Helenius' effort.

Bacuna should offer more than Delph and if we sign this amf type I think we can be looking dangerous as they will want to release the Andi Wiemanns and Gabby Agbonlahors of the team to counterattack.

Westwood is excellent so would have great competition in midfield for the first time in a while too.

Now to stop leaking those silly goals like we have this preseason.

Costaginos is way better young hungry and very fast

Agree9 Disagree3

Tonev, Albrighton, Gardner & Bacuna all looked very hungry & dangerous! I wouldn't be surprised if Lambert played a bit more 4-4-2 this coming season.

Agree6 Disagree2

Really hope delph doesn't lose his place in the startin 11. underrated and undervalued his work ethic is tremendous and good at both attacking and defending. only gona get better. a future captain the way he works so hard.

Agree9 Disagree1

Even if delph does lose his place it will be excellent for us to have players like him on the bench, as apose to the likes of bannan and ireland. There will be fantastic competition for places which will keep all 11 starting players on their toes, the only place there isn't competition is RB but I don't think lowton really needs pushing, and even herd might fight for that place!

Agree9 Disagree1

With so much quality in midfield, Lambert will have his work cut out trying to please every player!

Agree12 Disagree0

Too much yapping over players most of us if we were big enough to admit it sighning a true villa fan like lescott would show what being at avfc really means

Swansea bid 2.5 milion for Michy Batshuayi I think he will be one for the future worth a punt.

Believable7 Unbelievable6

What does this have to do with AVFC?

Agree7 Disagree2

It is options for villa to explore that is what it has to do with villa

Promising signs coming from Italy that Udinese youngster who spent last season on loan at Watford will be the man to replace Benteke for a 10m fee

Believable1 Unbelievable21

Benteke isn't leaving.

Agree12 Disagree13

This deal happening is as likely as bcfc getting promoted this season. in otherwords its just an utter joke. needless to say it WILL NOT be happening

Agree5 Disagree1

Blues and their non-league players! Pfft - they'll get promoted! once they are in league 2 maybe!

Villa have put down a deadline of Wednesday for Benteke to leave Villa Park this summer!

Believable7 Unbelievable6

Benteke will sign a new 4year contract this week 40000 pounds with bonuses for 20 goals and final league position, getting him to what they asked for without changing our wage reforms.
Lambert will request you to not be too harsh on him as he's head was confused on international duty.

Agree9 Disagree10

Benteke has till the start of August to find a new team. Where are you getting this information from or are you guessing he's not welcome at villa anymore

Agree3 Disagree5

I would love this to be true but I think his agent has turned his head

Agree4 Disagree1

Think that ship sailed long time ago

Agree3 Disagree1

Hopefully, can see another relegation battle if we lose him, but if we keep him I can see an easy top half finish on the cards

Agree6 Disagree4

Who are you, Paul Merson.

Agree7 Disagree1

I like the guy that has listed what he thinks Benteke will be offered to stay. This would fall in line with Lerners performance related earnings.
Not sure that it will happen but it is a great post.
Benteke has gone from Big Ben to Benny in Crossroads in a short space of time.

Agree6 Disagree0

Lol merse always thinks the worst of us I noticed that too mate
