Villa considering a cheeky approach for Grant Holt.

Alex Mcleish considering making an approach for Rotheram United's Adam Le Fondre. Villa are willing to take a gamble on him being able to step up to Premiership level due to a relatively low transfer fee and wages. Worth a go I suppose?

Mcleish is still working to bring in two or three new players before the end of the window. For all the people posting on here there will be no new signings listen to Shay Givens interview post the Fulham game yesterday on Talksport if you don't believe me.
It is now obvious to all at the club that we lack any real fire power apart from Darren Bent. Yes Nzogbia will score & create goals when he is amtch fit and there is no doubt that Gabby & Heskey will work their socks off but neither will make double figures this season and with this is mind Lerners hand has been forced to stump up for new players. It is more likely to be loans rather than purchases but Mcleish wants to bring in a forward, winger and midfielder. Players being looked at are Pedro Leon, Swp, Adam Johnson, David Trezeguet, David Bentley,Niko Kranjčar, Jermaine Defoe & Thomas Hitzlsperger. Villa would also be interested in Bendtner but is more likely Arsenal would want a cash deal and also Emmanuel Adebayor but with talk of 100k a week this is a non starter.
