McLeish set to hold talks with Lerner and Faulkner first thing Monday morning, it's believed that this is the curtain call for McLeish.

Also the board are drawing up a short list for his replacement this list names believed to be down are Paul Lambert, Sven-Göran Eriksson & Gus Poyet.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Not Sven he wasnt gd enough at leicster in championship

Agree7 Disagree3

Lambert got a fantastic endorsement from the Villa faithful at Carrow Road today, and must surely by interested to move to a BIGGER club?

Agree6 Disagree10

Lambert's end of season speach today said it all for me today, Dream on Villa he's going Nowhere.

Agree7 Disagree9

Lambert going nowhere

Agree8 Disagree7

Canaries would disagree. They reckon Lambert was very subdued and that it seemed like he was saying his goodbyes.

Agree11 Disagree8

Villa a bigger club than norwich, your living in the past mate,if you were a player ,who wouldyou sign fOR!!!

Agree4 Disagree8

Ofcourse they would sign for villa wake up we can pay treble the wages than norwich in the blink of an eye, small fish club with a big fish mouth

Agree8 Disagree5

I can't see us getting someone like Lbert although he would be a good manager. Why not Alan Curbishley. Ex Villa, premier league experience, kept Charlton in the premiership for ages on a shoe string so just the sought of manager we need and I stand corrected think he is available as well.

Agree2 Disagree8

Go away Dummys, Paul Lambert is very good friends with Oneal, do you think he would advise Lambert to go to your cowboy outfit. He thinks to much of Lambert only an person out of work manager will take that Pit job on

Agree1 Disagree6

As a player I would not sign for the Canaries! I would look to the future and then sign for niether. However Villa will always be a bigger club than Norwich. Present prem. status does not mean that a club is bigger. History, Finance, ground, crowds etc all come into the recipe for success. Because Villa have a poor manager and owner, it doesn't mean that they are any less than an ever present prem. team. There are only 7! How many years have Norwich in the prem?

Agree6 Disagree3

Di matteio if he dont get chelsea job

Agree4 Disagree6

Give it time Norwich will have a stadium size that will make yours look like a Wendy house, We own our Stadium and surrounding land with view to build extra tiers on top of City stand and South Stand, but we won't do it like the Wolves we will make sure we have the team to keep us up first

Agree1 Disagree6

Norwich isn't big enough to accomodate a BIG club. Farmers have no interest in football, so where are you going to get your crowd, so why do you want to build a multi layered stand. Your road system to get to Norwich is one of the worst in the country. Have they built a dual carriageway yet? I do applaud your enthusiasm and hope that some of your dreams come true. However Villa's dreams have in the past come true and will because an owner, not Lerner , will one day put money into the club and again Villa will rise. If the prem. was cut to 12 clubs as it could be then believe me AVFC would be in there, unlike Norwich. Sorry friend, all this has to be put in the mix of "BIG CLUB."

Agree5 Disagree3

Norwich have a Catchment area of well over a million all to themselves.People of Norwich love football so no they are not all farmers.Norwich is a great city with a great nightlife etc.

Very loyal fans always sell out regardlous of what division they are in.

Norwich are a sleeping giant along with Sunderland,Hull city,Leeds,Forest etc.

Villa are a bigger club at present but norwich have more potencial.
Btw I am not a norwich fan.

Agree3 Disagree4

Villa are a big club?
Do you sell out every home match?
Have a season ticket waiting list?.
Have a huge catchment area all to yourself?.

Norwich City do.

Agree3 Disagree3

Give it a bloody rest you lot. Neither of us is a big club at present. Get used to it and yes I am a Villa fan. This is about AMC and if he goes who will replace him. We won't get Lambert so stop banging on like bloody kids in a play ground about who's club is bigger because neither is a big club anymore. Get back to the real issues that matter.

Agree3 Disagree0

At the end of the day Villa are stuck in the middle of several bigger clubs with no more than two hour drive from slum land sorry B-ham People say Paul Lambert would be able to get home to scotland quicker from Birmingham, Well at presant it takes 45min via Flybe direct from Norwich Airport to Glasgow and Edinborough, so thats kicked that one out the window.

Agree1 Disagree2

^
Seriously, you think that'll be the deal-breaker? Err, how long do you think it takes to fly to Scotland from Birmingham? I despair at some people.

aston villa scouts were present at the Birmingham vs Blackpool match.
rumour is villa were looking at a trio of players including: tom ince, matty phillips & nathan redmond.

Believable4 Unbelievable4

Young and exciting talent exactly what we need, liked the look of ince deffo could be in the ashley young mould and a big star of the future

Agree4 Disagree0

I like Ince and definitely Matty Philips, but i doubt we would go for Redmond if he plays for the blue noses.

Agree3 Disagree1

You never know if Mcleish joins us & Curtis Davies joined them (in the space of 6 months).. who knows what happens next!

Agree1 Disagree1

So why is it ok for a blues player to go to Villa but not a blues manager? I am lost for words now.
