He was on loan at watford, but my point is he isn't now. Anyway since signing for udinese he has played 2 games and spent 2 seasons on loan, can't see them selling him after 2 games so they'll probably be looking to loan again. Either way I don't want him, he's was one of the most overrated players last season who scored a goal every other gamesagainst poor defences in a very attacking team. I think the championship is his level to score goals.

Peniel Mlapa is a name starting to go around as a possible target, also Demba Savage was closely looked at previously, a few people seem to think we'll be back in for him also.

Someone on another thread has suggested Jelle Vossen of Genk. He is a Belgian international and his goalscoring record looks excellent.
Check him out.
Perhaps another striker from Gent with a little more loyalty this time?

Heard a lot of talk about this guy last year but by the time I got around to seeing him play he didn't overly excite to be honest
Seemed to bear out the maxim that form is temporary but class is permanent.
Also, totally different type of player to Benteke

A few of the games I saw vydra play he started wide, He didn't look a typical centre forward to me.

Bent off to Newcastle for £5m. Which gives us more money already to spend on a attacking midfielder. Spurs are going to offer £20m for Benteke. We will hold out for £25m at the least. Chelsea also want him. If we do those benteke there has been rumours that we will go after Demba Ba. Even though I think he is a good player I don't think he fits Lamberts targets. He isn't as young as the players we have signed so far but he is enthusiastic. If we do lose Benteke I think Lambert will sign someone from abroad who has been playing well and is young.

I suspect once the Benteke deal goes thru at £23mill minimum then the replacements will be Lacina Traore & Hiroshi Kiyotake and I as well as many other Aston Villa fans would be more than happy, actually quite confident and excited. An CAM is a must

The kiyotake deal went dead as his club rejected the offer. But when we get more funds available we may put another bid in for him.

Lacina traore has been identified as the perfect replacement for christian benteke by villa boss Paul lambert, the 6"8 foot Ivorian coul cost Upto £17 million, as he's has 3 remaining years on his contract.
Also happening at villa, Darren bents move to Newcastle has been given the green light by Villa, a fee to be around £5million pounds is understood to have been agreed.

I'd love this to happen but can't see it happening simply because of his wages, he plays for Anzhi so is probably on ridiculous amounts, definitely more than the 20k that Benteke was on
