Yoann Gourcuff anyone? he's willing to take a pay cut to move to arsenal but its the one position they have great players in already, I can't see the deal being done. But would be a snip at 6-7m for a team like ours.

Finch

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Na only want players that want to come to us

Agree4 Disagree1

He would have little to no future sell on value.

Agree4 Disagree1

Why would you want to buy a player to sell?!

Agree4 Disagree6

How may players do you know that were bought and not sold?about 5 percent so it is important mate

Agree3 Disagree2

Im just happy that junk players like huddlestone and vydra that were linked to us have moved to new clubs so muppets can stop linking them to us now.

Agree2 Disagree1

Not sure if he's good enough now, he had great potential but hasn't performed in 2-3 years now, there's loads more better options out there than Gourcuff.

Kiyotake move not going to happen however Ryad Boudebouz is going to tuen down a move to Inter Milan, to go to Aston Villa who he calls a 'big club'

Believable4 Unbelievable6

Yeh just like Belhanda "turned down" Milan for us.

Agree5 Disagree2

Has anyone seen this boudebouz play, is he any good?

Agree2 Disagree3

He very skillful eg like taarabt

Agree1 Disagree2

Boudebouz is a good player can play CAM, LM or RM. And Belhanda didn't go to Milan he went to Dynamo kviv.

Agree2 Disagree2

Never said Belhanda went to Milan, just mentioned that in the press he was willing to choose us over Milan.

Any AVFC transfer news-not about kiyotake or bent though, any new suggestions on a CAM or needed positions. I've heard 3m for Boudebouz looks like a less arrogant taarabt

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Ryad (riaz) is very arrogant, likes to get a boot in. Inter Milan were told 2.5 million a few weeks ago now we are been quoted 3 million. we only have 1 million left in our transfer budget so unless Bent is sold its a no go.
Before you go on about how we only have 1 million left it was 10 million plus any sales. Makoun bought in 2.5 million and we have spent 11.5 million.
Kiyotake has a buy out clause of 7.5 million. It was hoped Bent 6 million plus Bannan 600 thousand plus 1 million budget balance would cover it.
Sorry to mention Bent and Kiyotake in your post but you now know where we are. i. e. no sales outwards mean final signing will be from the lower divisions.

Agree1 Disagree3

Come on! It's not that randy has set a budget of $10 mill because lambert has gone way past that. It's all about the wages, if they sell bent for $2 mill villa will still be able to spend big on another player because effectively they will still be cheaper than paying bents wages. So villa will sign one more player at any cost. Then offload big wage earners anyway they can.

Agree2 Disagree1

Sorry to disappoint you mate but the Villa budget this summer isn't that tight - but Lambert isn't overdoing his spending, same as last summer when he didn't use his whole transfer budget. Its wages which are an issue not transfer fee's. We'll most likely go into the Arsenal game with this squad and take it from there.

Agree3 Disagree1

Well if its only wages that are the issue as you seem to think then we have already shifted a fair few wage packets i. e. holman, makoun, dunne, and some others released.
Also then why didn't we accept Fulhams 4 million for Bent?
we all thought uncle Randy would buy someone with experience in the January window and the Bent purchase was being used as an example that if it came down to it we could spend big, but it didn't happen.
there is only 1 million left in the kitty and remember all this bull about Bomb Squad wages that Lerner rubber stamped all their contracts and what has changed?
attendances are the same, sponsorship is higher, tv revenue is at an all time high, infact we currently have the lowest wage outgoings in our last 4 years.
face the facts, anyone who has seen their jobs gone to company closures will know what is happening.
Villa are being prepared to be sold.

Agree1 Disagree5

Yet we still have the eighth biggest wage bill in the EPL. Lerner is not selling up and if you think that, you are an utter fool. Most of our high wage players don't have relegation clauses and that's why we are shifting them out, big wages & don't want relegation clauses in their contracts. Don't make such a bold statement if you have no clue what you are talking about.

Agree2 Disagree2

Surely if he was looking to sell he wouldn't have spent £40m on players over 12 months? He'd have keep his money in his pocket and taken any income, squeeze it for the last penny then sell up.

Agree0 Disagree1

There always comes a time when someone says enough is enough and that's what randy is doing right now. He is making villa financially stable and competitive so that they prosper for longer than a season (ie QPR). I'd rather have villa around for my kids kids than worry about who else we can sign this summer. The higher earners will go eventually and villa will be here to stay. Say what you will but randy and the two Paul's are doing everything the perfect way.

Agree1 Disagree1

If we have the eighth biggest wage bill in the premier league then we should be pushing for European places not worrying about relegation clauses!
40 million in the last twelve months, don't make me laugh you utter fantasist!
If he kept his money in his pocket as you put it then we would of followed suit and not bought season tickets. It's clever business, as fans we are being fooled into this new way of young and hungry players, more like inexperienced, un-heard and cheap.
Even when our captain was being shown around villa park none of us knew who he was.
Less than 3 weeks before the window closes, we will see how much more we spend eh. Don't hold your breath!

Agree1 Disagree1

Sorry then not £40m about £37/38m which is there about what we have spent on new players since paul lambert took over. If he wants to sell, would he care about getting people through the gates? Do you seriously think he has made back what he's spent over the last 14 months? I'm willing to bet he is losing money, so if that was the case and he wasnt in it for the long term why would he keep throwing money into it? He wants the high wage earners who are not worth the money off the wage bill so his business is actually making some sort of profit, any business in the world would do exactly the same. Man city and teams like thay can aff

Agree0 Disagree1

Continued, pressed send by accident. Man city and teams like that can afford to pay high wages because they get huge attendances, they sell merchandise in every corner of the globe and they pay off from winning the league is pretty substaintial too. Randy's only income is tickets, merchandise and sponserships so why shouldn't he have the right to get rid of the people rinsing his bank account to make no difference to the income as they are not playing, and are not improving the team.
