Alex McLeish hopes to add "quality" to his side this summer.

Though Paul Faulkner (according to the Birmingham Mail) has been in the United States all week for talks with Randy Lerner about the future of McLeish.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

If I was Alex Mcleish I would be looking for a new team to manage not new players. He will not be in charge come Tues morning. Poyet will be holding talks with board in the week. He wants his assistant Tarricco with him at Villa.

Agree2 Disagree2

He could start by signing rodeallga and diame on frees then resigning

I love villa and have supported them for over 40 years and no one gave a bigger cheer than me when we got a point against spurs and stayed up. However I have to be honest and say, I can see Learner keeping AMC. Hope to god I'm wrong but if it's going to cost a fortune to get rid of him, then learner will hang onto him. He has had his financial fingers scorched getting rid of the previous two managers. Hope I'm wrong and I will give AMC the taxi fare home but just got a horrible feeling he won't be leaving.

To the previous post, your wish will come true my friend. Your Villa will be back in good hands with a manager that wants to play fluent passing football back to front. Tuesday is your day of reckoning.

Agree2 Disagree3

I'm not sure Lerner can afford to keep him!Last season our gates were down on average 4-5000, i'd expect the gates to drop by another 5000 next season if AMC stays in charge. Plus i read somewhere that staying in the Premier League is worth about £26million so what is better for Lerner? Pay roughly £4million to get rid of McLeish or lose £30 million by the end of next season if we get relegated and the attendances continue to fall?

Agree5 Disagree3

Well, he's added quality alright: he's left! Hooray!

Hope Qpr get relegated, wouldn't mind Zamora at a cut price.

Believable4 Unbelievable7

Nor would I mate but he's off to Brighton if QPR relegated. Always said he would like to finish career there!!

Agree4 Disagree0

He`s passed it now

The Agent of Celtic's Efrain Juarez is claiming Villa are 1 of 6 premiership teams requiring the services of the Mexican, seems unlikely though.

Mohamed Diame will be bought in to replace Jean Makoun who will return to France.

Believable3 Unbelievable5

That be amazing

Agree0 Disagree1

Jean II Makoun has said fairly recently in interviews that he is "bulking up" to return to AVFC because he was told by GH that he was "too weak" for the prem.

Speculation that Mcleish has identified 5 players he hopes to bring into 'Villa Park' this summer despite the unknown certainty over his future

Andre Ayew - Marseille
Douglas Teixeira - FC Twente
Mohamed Diame - Wigan
Danny Guthrie - Newcastle
Joseph Di Chiara - FC Krylia (apparently this deal is as good as done, similar to the Brett Holman deal)

The usual suspects are all rumored to be leaving also, Warnock, Heskey, Dunne, Cuellar, Makoun, Delfouneso

Believable6 Unbelievable4

If he manages to get all them he can stay!

Agree2 Disagree6

Ayew? One of the biggest young talents in France, why would he join us? And Douglas wouldn't join if Newcastle and Arsenal are interested. Diame is useless and we will probably get him on a free.
