Many on here seem to look through lists of players that are available.

Can anyone identify a miserable hard bas. d that is out of contract?
We certainly need something to shore up the weakest defence that has ever worn our colours. it looks like TZ is out for a considerable time which leaves us with Chester and Elphick, oh lord save us, and Mings.
Perhaps we should go 3 at the back with 2 more as wingbacks as required.
Midfield all had divers boots on in the week and even Tammy had his boots tied together.
Easily the poorest performance for some time but it seems that Deano is not prepared to lay down the law.
However its not all over, the fat lady is still singing.
Perhaps she could get a game?

TOV, couple of things, like your humour, if you can't smile there is something wrong with you. Your observations on Wednesday are spot on. Can't we ask the league for dispensation to play 5 at the back three defensive holding midfield playes and gung ho up front. We might just about then to keep the goals against column under a number between 2 and 5.

Kaboul, Evra and Chico all free agent's.
Oh and Chris Samba.

God I'm sitting here thinkng I'm like Victor Meldrew or like WTW or vill4eva was like with Bruce my apologies there's nothing more than I would like for one of our own to succeed.

Smith record as a manager
Walsall matches 260.won 85. drew 91 lost 84
Brentford matches 143. won 57.drew 35 lost 51
Villa on 21 games won 7. Drew 8.lost 6
See the pattern developing with us and the other 2 teams these are the facts my friends. Smith seems a nice chap his bro still sits in the Holte in fact we used to travel to away games not together but always ended up in the same boozer and his dream was to manage Villa I can't knock a man that's wants to better himself but this job is just a bit to big for him at this time in his career.

Daz mate, this is one of the problems, you keep banging on about the same thing.
We get it, you think the job is too big for him.
Right or wrong, you have made your point.

16 Feb 2019 22:05:59
I said this too, his record is rubbish. yes teams play attacking football, but he is no big club manager. hope I'm proved wrong, but doubt it. I believe a new foreign manager will be in come preseason.

Posted before but can't seem to get my password sorted so hence a new name on here, for what its worth i don't think dean smith will ever be a massive success with us simply because he's also a fan-one of us, its a rod for his back, we'll always hold him to a much higher standard, at the time we should have moved heaven and earth to get chris wilder in, but that's done and dusted, as for the players not being good enough, don't talk tosh, scott hogan at brentford was a tasty centre forward, he comes to us and under bruce stagnates, he then gets in the manager who inspired him AND still he's a shadow of himself, grealish will never fill his full potential unless he moves, and why? -because we're living in cloud cuckoo-land about who we are and where we are, a manager worth his salt would walk into us and realise we're a basket case, 'all the gear and no idea', instead of getting the players there to fit his system, any quality manager would find a system to fit the players until the season is over, so that for me says that smith may be a half-decent manager but he's too arrogant and complacent to adapt even just for the short-term, i'm not saying bring in a devisive manager, but one who will make the players want to play for him, not be their mate, again for me a manager like chris wilder, someone who'd make players bust a gut for the full 90 minutes, not bring in players who think their doing you a favour every week, putting in a half-arsed effort for 10 minutes but trousering 30 grand plus a week-thats called fraud to me, but each to their own, it will be interesting to see what o'neill does at forest on bugger all money, my guess is a damn sight better than the spongers we'll end up with, and just to put the icing on the cake, gary monk at the noses, i HATE to admit it, but he's doing a cracking job, and out of interest how much has he had to spend? -our arrogance betrays us, we're too lazy and complacent for our own good, we're at our rightful level now, get used to it unless the preverbial rocket up the posterior ensues, i love this club, i don't love what we've become-fundamental change is needed before its too late to wake us up out of this lethargy.

Too Villadaz below 14:48.
When you say you two, you mean chris and I, right.
Daz, where have I ridiculed anybody, I am arguing my point against their point, what is wrong with that mate, surely they can respond themselves, they are adults are they not.
You go on to say that I am spouting off, spouting off about what, I am disagreeing with scott and defending our manager for goodness sake.
So you are saying it`s okay for us to trash the manager verbally and shout the odds about him not knowing what he is doing, and that we should get rid, are you for real.
How would you feel if you were the manager reading what people are saying about you after such a short time, you would probably tell them to stick the job, am I right.
I have called nobody on here an idiot, a fool, clueless, or any other derogatory names, and I am certainly not aiming any malice towards scotty, I happen to love the banter.
What I don't like is people jumping the gun and condemning someone without giving them the chance and time they deserve.

VD, I like you enjoy the banter and would certainly not categorise you in the bigot camp. I certainly do not feel any malice thrown my way from you. I accept your "give the guy a chance position. No one wanted Smith to succeed more than me, however he has to take some responsibility, that's what management is all about in any walk of life. I object to some of his team selections and would have hoped that him and his experienced coaches could have plugged some of the "holes in the culinder" by now. So let's agree to disagree, rembering that i felt the same as you with Garde Dimatteo lambert bruce etc and "give them a chance and patience" has been knocked out of me. The aforementioned are all still wealthy men and we continue to suffer so let's show Deano are expections are not unreasonable.

15 Feb 2019 18:54:39
Thank you for that scotty, I am happy you feel that way.
As far as this debate is concerned I have to agree with you, we shall have to agree to disagree.
Thanks again mate.

15 Feb 2019 19:05:24
Dave the ridiculing was not aimed at you mate. I said to you before I like some of your posts and you do put facts with your posts which I love. But the fact of the matter is this same team that is losing or drawing battered Derby and Boro in fact played them off the park how can we go from that to how we are now. Playing 2 holding midfielders and a lone striker come on bud everyone can see this is not working and why? Because Smith has changed it no-one else. You know I didn't want Smith in the 1st place I feel he is to inexperienced managing Walsall and Brentford is not a good CV in my honest opinion being a Villa fan doesn't mean he will bring success back to us. let's put it this way if you was the CEO of Villa and you sacked Bruce you had all the candidates in front of you experienced managers who have been there done that and managed big name players and then you have a man who has managed Walsall and Brentford who no disrespect to those clubs have let's say lesser name players who would you pick? Because I know who I would. Dave banter I love more than the next bloke but Brentford have finished below us we can't suffer another 2 or 3 seasons in this league it could ruin us mate players come and go managers come and go owners come and go but we pay our hard earned money to watch us we need the PL sooner rather than later and in my opinion Smith is not the answer.

15 Feb 2019 19:40:04
Thanks for letting me know daz.

15 Feb 2019 11:59:00
Just read all of the recent posts again, in any walk of life there are differing views especially when things aren't going well like the present failings at Villa Park. All of that said I find it extremely distasteful when personal insults are used to reinforce their views, i think the term for this is bigot. So have your personal views and argue these vigorously. Fortunately the insults come from a very small minority and no need to name names we all know who.

Riminded me of jloyd Samuel, similar features including long gangly legs, Taylor had a long run with very poor performances so why not give Hause a chance and a run of games to build his confidence, some of the clowns seem to get in whatever.

15 Feb 2019 21:23:22
Hause would have too improve about 500%.
My old Mom is cleaning her boots and waiting for a call from Deano.
He is doing worse than we expected.
