I can't belive Bruce who has the biggest squad in the league is blaming the international games on our performance today. We didn't have that many internationals playing what about 3 surely Dr. Tomy has got to be sick of his excuses we got a easy month and we prob won't win 1 because of Bruce his outdated style doesn't work anymore teams now days keep the ball and play attacking stuff. Surely people have got to look at the way we play an ask themselfs really is this going up? Only on here people love Bruce everybody who I speak to at the actual games think that his not the man and we have no chance of going up under him. His been here long enough his got everybody he wants what's the problem? Hogan and mcormack there's 30 million that don't play surely we can't keep wasting money?

He Blamed himself didn't he? Said he should have knew not to play the lads from the international game. After yesterday everyone has a right to moan and be angry but don't just lie and twist things, there's enough to warrant getting rid of him just off yesterday's performance without making stuff up.

So dissapointed with today's performance, just wasent what I was expecting at all . When playing a team like Brentford, who hold onto the ball, have players capable of moving the ball quickly, you can't stand off them . We where to deep all game, never worked hard to close them down . Our passing was atrocious, mostly caused by us being so close to eachother . With the lack of pass options, that when the panic sets in and the kicking it anywhere starts .
Bree had a stinker, Weelen forgot you can pass the ball forwards . I know he's one of Brucies favourites, but what he sees in mohamady I just can't understand, rather have Albert .
Last time we played Brentford, they played the same system, so surely Brucie new what to expect . because of the last couple of results, I thought we would of played with a bit more confidence . Instead the longer the game went on, it was nonexistent . Brucie, get it sorted for Tuesday, I don't believe in the booing, but it's understandable . Thankgod for Johnston .

Couldn't believe what I was watching today! So poor, no system, lonesome Davis, absolutely no pressing, second again often to the loose ball! Really awful given the money and the time! Must not lose or even draw on Tuesday because SB I am sure will be gone before October VTID.

Within the first few minutes Glenn Whelan was sat in line with Chester and Terry in between the two like a third centre back, with Hourihane and Onomah not that much further forward. We sat so deep and just allowed them to play. Mind you when we got on the ball we couldn't even pass in more than 5 times and even then they was struggling to move it 5 yards.

We sat back so deep that when we humped it up to Davis there was no one near to him to lay it of to,
What happened to the tactics against Norwich when he had support for help?

go any further back and we'll be in the stone age, seriously though (apologies for the joke), we seem to be more often then not at either end of the scale, either top banana or just playing turgid toss, like others have said on here, you can't blame the internationals as a major reason, sorry lads, we all want brucey to succeed, but neither he or his coaches seem to be moving with the times, did any of you see dean smith's face during the game, as a villa fan he must be shaking his head with our abundance of talent and yet we played pinball football, we had the look of chelsea just before mourinho left the second time, bundles of good players but no real belief anymore, i hope brucey throws caution to the wind and goes cavalier, get the fans excited and the players re-invigorated otherwise dr. t will be pulling the trigger sooner rather than later, come on brucey, show some FLEX!

Time to go potato head. Can't beat the bottom club at home and only have 1 shot on target just not good enough. Get a manager in who's willing to take risks and play attacking football ( if we lose at least it will be entertaining ) my candidates would be

Players - mostly awful; Johnstone, Terry and Davies the only positives. All too negative, dithering on the ball, instead of breaking they play it back, can't make 5 yard passes, can't see when a man is in loads of space, pulling out of challenges, absolute garbage.
Manager - Awful; if your playing a 4-5-1 you have to do it with attacking intent, Rafa won the league playing it last year home and away because they got at people, kept it on the deck and played to their strengths. Substitutes were indefensible, I understand the way the injuries happened it made things awkward but if he had the idea of going 2 up top at some point then why would you take Davies off who was playing brilliant. Just bizarre.
Fans - booing at half time when it's 0-0 is more embarrassing than the performance on the pitch, not going to get anywhere when people expect to me winning every half of every game. Negativity breeds negativity.

Just read Davies was injured so had to come off, fair enough. That's Onomah, Green and Davies all picked up injuries that game, green will be out for a while aswell.

Absolutely fuming after leaving Villa park yesterday, how much more of this crap can we take, we have had this dished out to us the fans now for far to long, the rott started years ago under Randy Lerner's ownership.
We have changed the owner, we have changed the back room staff, we have changed the players, we have changed managers and still nothing changes so I'm now struggling to think what is actually the problem?
I'm all for off loading SB if we do not get 12 to 15 points come the end of October but who?
However I don't really think it will change anything their is still something rotten at the club behind the scenes.
My shout would be wait until Newcastle sack Benitez or he walks then get him in as we need a manager of his sort of calibre.
I would rather keep Bruce than have Giggs just thought I would drop that in, Gerrard and Lampard? No management experience.
I keep seeing Sherwoods name pop up again not for me he is a impact manager good short term not so good mid to long term and as we have seen tactically inept "Remember being 2-0 up at Leicester and ended up losing 3-2 due to a tactical change"
Here is a name what about Moyes? Did fantastic at Everton, did not do to bad at UTD but was hounded out and was better than LVG who replaced him and was given more time.
Not so good in Spain that was a gamble and you can't blame him for Sunderland he did that job with both hands tied behind his back plus we would not have to pay any compensation to get him apart from paying Bruce off.

As for experience, we have one of the most experienced managers in this league and look what's happening. look who are near the top. Leeds and wolves both with managers with no experience in this league. all you need is a manager with fresh ideas who's willing to take a risk to win football matches. How good giggs, lampard or gerrard could be is anyone's guess but surely worth a chance. Certainly command the respect of the players. can't stop laughing about the moyes suggestion. SERIOUSLY.

For example 2002 to 2012 Moyes spent £128M in the same time he recouped £123M that's 1/ 2M net spend a season with Everton not finishing lower than 8th during that time and a champions league qualification thrown in on half a mil spend a season? Your not laughing now Smudge lol
But seriously pal we cannot take anymore of this crap I'm struggling from looking from the outside in to understand what is Wong at our club?
As for Giggs! some role model for the players to look up to if they want to go off with their brothers wives I would not want him near our football club.

I think its time for bruce to go now 2 shots on target again, an we play 4/ 5/ 1 at home disgracefull he clearly doesn't know the best formation after 6 or 7 months in charge bring bck sherwood, I've had enough of watching us play like 💩 under bruce the players look lost out there.

Even though I'm not a SB fan I have always wanted him to succeed and prove me wrong. I like most of his signings and like many look at the squad and am excited to turn up at VP and see us thump teams out of site.
Time and again this doesn't happen. Today first half was woeful and the second equally as poor thanks to Big Sam we kept a clean sheet.
Just waiting for Tony X to publicly give him his vote of confidence.

The only redeeming factor about today's results was that the bluenoses lost and are still below us, albeit only by 2 points. Sadly, I shouldn't be having to desperately clutch at those kind of straws.

It's very hard not to be critical on this performance,
But this is the type of performance which is the norm now,
A manager is judged on style and results and Bruce needs to look at himself and sort out this mess we are in,
We have on paper the best squad in this division but it's not happening on the pitch,
So on to the game on Tuesday and a defeat there will put a massive nail in Bruce's prospects in staying much longer,
