Never rated Gusted but the timing of his sale is starting to look like something the former board would have done, not this new set up. its left us so lacking, we have 4 days before we play Wolves and we will have less options than against Cardiff? this lansbury deal needs to be pushed through, if Bruce was Brady or Shlupp then the board need to do what they can to secure him asap, along with a striker otherwise we are left with Mccormack who is really a quality option but operates in a front 2, and gabby, that's it.

I actually agree, and I can't bare justhead.
But. we got to look and think the big picture. Bruce is many things, stupid he isn't. he knew what was going to happen, these players where here before him.
African cup, he knew!
We just got to trust. be patient and ride the storm.
The one that has rocked this, is rhm.
I do think as well, whether he stays, of goes now. Bruce won't trust him. he is from the fergie camp.
Once he wasn't true to his word, he'll be switched off.

You can't make signings based on who you are playing in 4 days time
If we want Lansbury and think he is good for the next 4 years, we should be going and getting him for that reason. If it takes 5 days, so be it.
We are looking a little short upfront but let's be honest, getting our money back for Gestede was a great bit of business. He was never a long time solution for us (I have not idea what Karanka is thinking)
Again, I'd rather get the right replacement rather than the quickest replacement

I didn't say we need replacements for who we are playing in 4 days, their replacements for the rest of the season, every game is worth the same points and we aren't going to sign Lansbury and just keeping for every time we play wolves. We should of had a replacement for gustede lined up for when he left, and now it's being reported the Lansbury deal may not go through we need to look at other targets, not sit on our laurels. I agree Bruce isn't stupid but his left himself open here as I said, Gabby and McCormack to choose from up top, midfield still as ropey as before, no left midfielder and when we played wolves before we just about scraped a draw.

I partially agree with some of what you say. But, sometimes you to take a deal that is on offer which may not be good in the short term but is absolutely the right thing to do in the long term. Gestede but sold for "6 million is a perfect example of that notion

True, I understand your point, don't know who they have been scouting but to pay 6 mil for gustede is ridiculous so I suppose they snapped their hands off. Just think if we had another option up top against Cardiff, (as we created the chances) who could match them physically, we could of got something. And don't want to see us struggle the same way against wolves.
