Have seen on one website declaring an interest from Aston Villa in a player from Bradford City called Nahki Wells.

Take a look on youtube, this guy is a natural and I would welcome him a VP.

I know he is young and from a lower division but so was Michael Owen and Kevin Keegan.

About 2m they reckon would get him, go for it I say, he looks fearless and takes a pop from anywhere.

{Ed001's Note - when was Michael Owen in a lower division? He started at Liverpool, went to Real Madrid, then to Newcastle, then Man Utd, then to Stoke and retirement. Well he really retired when he left Liverpool as his career was spent on the sidelines, but I was trying to be nice about the little weasel. He was always a top flight footballer mate.}

Agreed this guy is worth a punt. Could turn out to be a bargain.

Hi Ed.

Sorry about the quote above, I was under the impression M. Owen played for Chester in his early days.

But still my point is that players from the lower divisions can become stars of the future, and this young man looks a natural goal scorer.

I think alongside a big man up front and given a bit of time he will develop into a very competent striker

Is there any truth I Villa`s interest!

{Ed001's Note - no worries mate, I just thought I would point it out, he was born in Chester, if I remember rightly. It was Ian Rush that Liverpool brought in from Chester, and he was seen as such a flop in his first 3 years at Liverpool that it led to the scout, Geoff Twentyman, losing his job. Sometimes you have to have a lot of patience with young players, as Rushie did alright in the end....}

I think PL has bought enough players from lower leagues and cheap imports, with these players only one way the championship if not this year next, the so called project is flawed you need at the least 4 class player for the younger players to learn there trade at ease, no tension I honestly believe by luck he as bought 1 good player we must get a director of football Hoddle for me no long ball experts

Agree0 Disagree0

I do not completely think the buy young hungry is completely flawed the problem was having no experience! I think Lambert should buy a few experience players and keep buying young along as he keeps moving on players he sees as not good enough!

we have to move on Given Ireland Hutton Stevens Bent Kea Bennet Bowrey Delfonso that it self has to be about £300. 000 a week! we could at least
get 5 quality players may it be young or experienced!

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed we do need experience as I have said in previous posts, but this guy looks very good and at 2m which is the sort of figure stated on the website I think it would be worth a pop.

If he scored less than half of the total he has scored for Bradford, he would be better value than most of our current forwards.

Worth a shot in my opinion, we need goals full stop, and with a decent AM who would help with balls into spaces.

If Wells came it would be great, saw him when they played us and he was their best player in my opinion, however if he is Premier League standard is another question, a couple of years then yeah maybe

Agree0 Disagree0

PL should have put in a bid when we played Bradford last year. The lad was excellent

Agree0 Disagree0

So you saw him play once? against us anyone would look good, teckers was magic against everyone last year he's a bit off form at the moment ( see my point ) PL bough only championship quality we need proven prem players Delph only looks good because the midfield is the poorest Iv have seen at villa

Agree0 Disagree0

Refusing to bring in lower league players is ridiculous, often you can get them for a good price and as long as you don't base your whole squad on them they can be successful for a top tier team. Personally I wouldn't be unhappy with Wells in claret and blue, a helpful striker who is young, if he doesn't preform there is the oppurtunity to put him up for loan

Agree0 Disagree0

Mr. T name a top 8 prem with championship players

Agree0 Disagree0

My opinion play Gary Gardner and use some of the other next gen players do waste any more on championship class players we have enough PL will no doubt play Westwood kea bowery Styla Luna Toney these are not prem standard You get what you pay for fact

opinions on nathan delfouneso? I like the guy, and think he is really promising and is playing well for Blackpool. We don't need any more strikers in my opinion. Have Robinson and Drennan coming up as well who have great potential.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not for me mate.

Just like the Moore brothers promised the world, delivered a road map.

Sorry

I'm with Dave on this one

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair point, could be another Luke Moore and have one half good season, will end up with a chance though

Agree0 Disagree0

I like Delfouneso exactly where he is at this moment.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fonz isn't setting the championship on fire is he? And he's playing in a decent team I may add.
