I just don't get how the tabloids work here is an example of two conflicting statements in the very same article published by sky sports, I quote :-

"Owner Dr Tony Xia attempting to attract new investors and is prepared to offload club altogether, "

followed by :-

"Officially, Sky Sports News has been told the club is not for sale and that Dr Xia's financial problems are the result of cash-flow issues in China. "

And you wonder why fans are confused!

The media has a lot to answer for. They have gone out of their way to portray our club in a very bad light. most of what has been said is sensationalism. I called for calm and patience among our fans because what we were getting from media was just so confusing with nothing to back up what they were saying most of it bullshit and inuendo. I still believe Tony Xia will sort it all out. Also i believe Steve Bruce will still be our manager. I know that won't sit well with some fans. However getting a new manager will de stabalise us further. i'm a Bruce fan and believe he is our best option still.

It appears to be feeding frenzy within some sections of the media, especially the Birmingham Mail, publishing ridiculous stories, such as the one of the banner draped on the balcony of the rear of the Holte end, apparently by Albion fans.
Things are looking a bit tricky, and could easily deteriorate by next month, but no point losing your head and losing your bottle. Villa is a unique club in many ways. Just remember how long we have been around, survived the Boar war years, WW1, Depression, WW11, the Division 3 years etc. Bruce is the best bet, need to keep him at the club if possible, I am sure he won’t bail unless he is either told there is no money, or asked to leave.
No matter what happens I will still give our great old club 100% support. UTV.

I'm all for getting rid of the players on big wages to get us out of the mire but I hope the rummors of southampton going for Davis and green for 4 million for the two is rebuffed,
We need these young players more than ever to blend into the squad,
Just hope it's paper talk.

Just a thought here Villa fans.,
The official word is your owner is being stopped, or having problems, getting money transferred out of China. If that’s the case, how come our board aren’t having the same problem? And they’re buying players. Maybe you lot aren’t being told the truth? the real facts.

07 Jun 2018 15:47:45
It may well be the case that his statements are designed to keep the fans happy and the club afloat whilst he seeks to sell the club.

07 Jun 2018 15:55:17
Fans are very rarely told the true facts and the tabloids don't help by adding their own bits to stories to sensationalize them. Also any good news about the club will be published once and then very quickly buried with the continual repeats of the previous bad news.

Wolves are indeed spending as you say but the difference being that Wolves have just made millions by being promoted so already have the cash.

07 Jun 2018 18:20:03
My point was. if our board can get/ transfer money out of china, why are they claiming your owner can’t.

Read my post above which answers your point!

Just can’t believe people are still blaming Lerner or others for this mess. It was clear from the outset that Xia had no moneyas people went searching for evidence of his wealth and came up with blanks. The excuse about not being able to get money out of China is a nonsense, Xia has invested nowhere near enough to fall foul of these regulations.

He has been let down by Managers who have both failed to use the money that has been invested to create an exciting team that blows the division away (Newcastle have done that twice now in recent memory and have done it very easily) .

But now the gamble has failed and Xia doesn’t have the money to cope, that is why he is scrambling around trying to secure loans that will keep the club going for 3-4 weeks more. It’s a drop in the ocean.

Dark days.
After the last couple of weeks the days of being a Villa fan has been traumatic to say say the least. Aston Villa football Club are in the mire and we have had 1 lousy statement off them we as Villa fans deserve to know what is going on with our ONCE Great club. I thought we was going in the right direction under our leadership how wrong I was for that I hold my hands up. So who is to blame for the predicament that we are in? Learner, Xia Wyness? God only knows but one thing is for sure these people have only one thing in mind Money. Like all the clubs that this has happened to I can only imagine what their fans was going through other fans mocking them including us with the Blues well this is a wake up call ladies and gentlemen maybe now we can wake up as fans of our club and say No more. We tried to get Wolves investigated why? In my opinion jealousy that's all that was we all need now to stand together as One and fight for the club that we was chosen to support from our young years forget the cups and our history we are needed now.

07 Jun 2018 10:43:39
Daz fully agree with you,
It seems strange we tried to get wolves investigated and all the time we can't get our own house in order
I pray to God we sort it either with the present owner or another,
We fans need to know what's going on and what there planning to do to get us back to a stable club,

Good post Daz, i like yourself thought the club leadership was first class. I Think the good doctor has been let down very badly. Especially reading what Stan the man wrote yesterday. where do we go from here? Is anyones guess. no one saw this coming at least not this severe. Think Tony xia needs our support i believe he will get us out of this mire but we will be severely weakened. The forth coming season will see us much depleted with a very weakened team. It is what it is and on a personal level my support will of course remain.
