Hi all.

Can I just make a point here.
PL & AVFC have said Benteke is NOT for sale.

Benteke has NOT put in a transfer request.

So how can anyone haggle over a price.

Today I have seen prices ranging from 20-40 mil posted on here, where has this come from! most of it is paper talk, sure I think a few clubs would like Benteke.
I just think we are the one`s doing the haggling.

This one is best put to bed I think, and let's wait and see what happens.

If anyone hears anything concrete great let's hear about it.

The guru of football is off again

The only time this will be put to bed, is when Benteke sign's a revised contract or confirm's his intentions. I don't understand why supporters keep denying there is an issue, if there wasn't something going on he (Benteke) would have already publicly committed to AVFC.
Let's hope PL / Uncle Randy work their charm, hopefully for more than just 1 season, like everyone else I want him to stay, but remember, a year ago he threatened to go on strike at Genk after they declined AVFC's attempt's to sign him.

This is absolutely correct and I can't see how this can come up over and over again.

In one of the latest articles it states that Spurs are put off by the 25 mil evaluation of Soldado, so how will they expect to take and Benteke?

Point is that the tabloids don't give a crap as long as it sells papers. Birmingham and other locations not named London, have never been given a fair go. London is apparently the only city that matters, the rest are subpar.

It's disgusting really.

We as fans need to take all the apparent speculation with a pinch of salt and stand firm to support our team.

We are looking to do the right things and there is a real progress being made currently.

I find it funny how the journos can say PL has slapped a 40mill price tag on benteke and then to suggest a week or two later he's leaving for 25m, that's a hefty difference of 15mill there!
The simple fact of the matter is that we don't have to sell benteke this season and IF he has another storming season and world cup to go with it, any team in the world would want him. Surely Uncle Randy the business man can see this so I don't know what all the fuss is about.
As for the silence on the matter to me it suggests the contract negotiations are underway which will obviously be difficult. I think we all know he will leave in a years time but two significant factors will be how long will his contract extension be (possibly 1yr) and what kind of salary will be offered (again a guess at 60k).

My opinion is that nothing has been sorted with benteke but we hold all the cards he is under contract wouldn't surprise me if there's a big bid from arsenal after the suarez knock back but we don't have to sell him maybe he is going an pl is sorting signing we know nothing about because if everybody is honest how many had heard of benteke maybe you think guru was a bit strong but it was banter and meant that way not to offend so chill and let's look forward to a top ten finish

I agree with the guy above up to the point where he demands that you admit he was right. I love seeing peoples' apparent transfers etc be nothing more than cr*p from their own heads. I would love for people to stop pretending they have the inside scoop when they know absolutely nothing. Rumours are great but when someone's saying something's going to happen because of "their source", 9/10 times it comes to nothing. It's embarrassing really

If we sell Benteke for a penny less than £25m then someone wants shooting!

Further more I think if he is on 20k per week we should offer to treble and not double his wages in order to keep him. He himself should really think of the benefit of staying at Villa for one more season having another year like that and then moving to one of the top clubs in the World, and not Spurs who will lose Bale next year and likely fade back toward obscurity.
He won't be able to play CL football for them and will only play in a 36k stadium, he could do better than Spuds.

Why so negative towards Spurs? Media got you a bit hyped up? Spurs would be the ideal place for him if he was to leave Villa. Man united, 2great strikers 2world class strikers. Man city, whichever striker takes there fancy/flavour of the month so no future. Chelsea, same as above really and with Lukaku looking good they won't need a striker. Arsenal, Giroud, Podolski and Higuain on the way. Spurs, Ade and Defoe both apparently on the transfer market. So if you want him to go somewhere he'll become a no 1 striker then realistically which team is best? I understand the media can have a negative affect on the way you think. Think about it rationally if you want him to fail then yes a top 4 team, if you want him to succeed then it's Stay at Villa or Join Spurs.

Next up you say about playing in a 36k stadium and there is a 50k+ stadium being built (which tops yours) and he could train in one of the best training grounds in the WORLD. That's more appealing to a player I'd think.

No need for the negativity, we are not direct rivals and should respect one another for the way our team goes about their business. I for one respect Villa. Best of luck next season.

Are we not direct rivals? That is a bit aloof when one considers that both teams are in the English prem. I would like to think that you have enough respect for other prem teams to acknowledge that all are rivals. Now you know why supporters are anti spuds.

I wasn't disrespecting your team saying that we are not direct rivals as in your not good enough but our rivals consist of London based sides and yours are more northern sides. I respect a lot of sides mainly ones who do business correctly. I even respect Arsenal for the way they run their club. So tell me why we are rivals? Other than being in the same league their is no reason to be hating on each other. If that was the case then watching football would consist of watching just my own team. Guess it's just different for me as I'm a football fan not just a spurs fan!

P. s I think you'll find a lot of fans like spurs as we play good football and run our club correctly unlike teams like Man city and Chelsea who are ruining the beautiful game!

He already trains at one of those, it's Bodymoor Heath. He also plays in a squad where he's the main man, not something that would happen in the same squad as Bale. At Villa he'll be in top form in the League cause he doesn't have to waste time in the Europa League and it's PL form that woll keep him in the Belgium squad ahead of Lukaku. If Benteke wants money, he could go to a number of clubs both in the PL and abroad, but if he wants to go to the World Cup as a first choice striker, he'll stay at Villa, which seems to be exactly what both him and his agents seem to be saying. Fair enough I didn't come on here to argue with anyone. Was just surprised with the negative comments towards spurs when I feel we have no reason to hate on each other. I personally don't want Benteke at spurs as I feel he'll be another Andy Carroll. Think about this though, do you think he'd be happier just playing Epl football or playing Epl and European football? Also do you think he would prefer to be the number 1 player in a team or playing with some of the best in the world?
