If all the villa players shown the same passion as Hutton I would really fancy us for automatic promotion,
This guy is my favourite with Jack.
Takes a 50% pay cut and never gives less than 100%.
To think he was turned out to the bomb squad and now look at him.
He is captain material alongside Chester,
The rubbish he got from fans he could have walked away but he got over that never complained just got on with it,
Well done Allan you are my hero.

Yes your right Mainbob, It's good to see one of Bruce's "dinosaurs" shine, he puts his heart into every game. Kodjia for me looked aweful and since his injury he just isn't the same player, I would be happy to see him walk and be replaced with a young hungry striker. I think the squad could be heading in a new direction under our new owners, with a change in Bruce's philosophy to suit, so for me the season looks bright and I still think promotion will be achieved.

Agree the new owners are doing a great job .
Wanting more young and hungry players is the way to go,
You can see we have no pace in most area's of the pitch,
Bruce did make a mistake of bringing in the more experienced players and listening to him on radio I hope he has now changed his views on this,
Mind you I don't think he had a choice really,
It's either that or bring in another manager who will!

Agreed, pace and fast flowing football is destructive to opponents and also great to watch, I hope myself that this is the new policy.

I've been saying for ages if we play that way we will be in top 2 easy, if you look back, villa have always played fast footy even under little, n Gregory, n O'Neil. To fast wingers who can cross a big strong fast striker who can score, and a creative mid.

Steady start last night, will take 3-1 agaibst any team, just my observations
1. Elphick took his goal well but why the muted celebrations? He also looses concentration - almost gave the ball away twice in dangerous areas.
2.Steer did well
3. Great goal from the Scottish Cafu
4. Jack looked to me as though he does not mind another season at VP, but would also not mind if he moves. possibly a good state of mind to be in.
5. Kodja frustrates the hell out of me
6. Uncle Albert will struggle to play 90 mins twice a week.
7.Thor should be in the side to give us a bit more pace and creativity instead of steady eddie Whelan
8. No mention of Jedi - what happened to reports earlier that he was moving to a european team?
9. What has happened to the Scandinavian Keeper we were supposed to be signing - no reports for a few days.

Here's an idea, why don't we drop kick jonathan kodjia into the turkish or greek league where his selfish, greedy lack lustre performances should get the respect they deserve, even wee jimmy 'crankee' mckneehigh could have given more out there, and that's the barrel well and trully scrapped, bin that tart lively!

Kodjia is a show pony.
On the pitch to be looked at rather than perform.
His goals 2 seasons back went to his head after he was given prem pay packet. Now he believes all the words said about him when he was scoring.

New words are greedy, lazy and not a team player.
No player, not even super Jack is bigger than the team.

Did anyone notice the lack of excitement from elfick after scoring his goal! Strange!
On the match we were very poor first half with the usual slow boring football with no movement in attacking area's,
Second half better but much better when green and Murphy came on,
So much more movement,
We have a long way to go to be considered for top 6 on that performance,
Losing grealish will be massive.
Must bring in a creative playmaker if he goes,
Either someone like maddison, woods, will do,
We need Bryan and hopefully he picks us over Middlesbrough,
But at end of day it's a welcome 3 points away from home so can't really complain,
Wigan will be a harder test they have loads of pace in attacking area's and I'm not happy about our defence at the moment,
We were cut open many times last night and not for steer we could have conceded 2 or more goals,

We will get better bob, i think bruce knows we have to attack, nhave pace in all areas mate.
