New figures show Villa's debt is at £110m

This figure has shrunk to £86m due to left over money from Young & Downing sales + N'Zogbia & Given purchasing funds.

Villa will not make anymore signings , only young ex youth players will be playing from now on as Villa look to cut their big debts.

How can we be in debt when we are owned by Randy Lerner. Aston Villa may have made a loss of an amount over a period or a financial year but that would be an operating debt not actually owing money to anyone. It would be Lerner being in debt that we would have to be worried about but he still has a presonal wealth of billions of dollars and thats actual wealth not tied up in companies or businesses. If Villa were losing him too much money he would sell and recouperate his losses there. Stop making up debts..I'm assuming you are not an Aston Villa fan? If We need to make signings we will, people like you have been doom and gllom before and we have made more signings and spent more money than most of the other premiership teams. {Ed001's Note - Lerner may own the company, but it can still have debts separate to him.}

why would i make up that hleb was fishing my lake? Go into fosters of birmingham the fishing shop and ask if alexsander hleb was fishing little aston lake this year. Why make up that mcleish is intrested in hleb?

Just like most the rumors on here the Hleb rumor came from News speculation sites
