Here's a thought, its obvious the baggies wouldn't let pulis spend big because they have another manager lined up, hence why he didn't go to the friendly to watch the trialists.

i reckon, if they do bin him sometime this season, why not bring him in as a consultant to take care of our defence? you could never accuse any of his teams for being tardy when it comes to the art of defence and if i were rdm i wouldn't let my pride stop me from maybe learning a trick or two along the way.

its a win-win for everyone. you can't buy experience like that nowadays, why not use it to our advantage.

Pulis doesn't just work on the defenders. He gets the whole team to act defensively. If you wanna watch that kind of football then fine; it's not for me. You could make a case for Pulis in the last 4 years of the Lerner reign when we were starved of funds and survival was an achievement. Now we are a big hitter in the division with arguably the strongest squad.

Agreed we have a very strong side, and rdm is the commander in chief, but i'd still take pulis's input, because as you well know, teams are going to shut up shop and try and counter attack, and unfortunate as it is to say, we seem to lack concentration and discipline in the last quarter of the game

i think pulis would definitely help us in that respect, but it probably would never happen, it would just be nice to feel relaxed when we got 20 minutes to go, not twitching and watching the clock every minute or so!

Speak to a few Albion fans about your idea, I'm sure they'd agree to get rid of the bugger.
If teams are going to shut up shop against us, as you correctly state, Pulis is the last guy we need.
You can, t pick and mix with Pulis, s ability. You can't have an attacking side that somehow, miraculously, also defend like a Pulis side. It's one or the other.
Lastly, could you see Pulis playing second fiddle to RDM? I can't. Having Pulis at the club would also totally undermine any incumbent manager. Nobody invites a cuckoo into there nest.

I can't argue with those salient points there, i just remember when pulis went into palace, shored up their defence and they actually started to play attractive, positive football, but like you say, rdm and pulis would probably be like oil and water.

To be honest mate, I think any defensive deficiencies we have are largely mental. We have good players in all positions who are set up well from a defensive perspective (it could be argued too defensive)
I really don't think the collapse at Bristol can be attributed to anything other than the mental trauma of last year. Only way to get over that is to play through it.

As long as we get some superglue for gollini's gloves it might just work out.

Interesting that despite talk of a "No. 9" that no one has been given the shirt, even following Sinclair's departure. Speaking of the squad and shirt numbers, if I were Dr. T/ RDM I'd strip Gabby of 11, may be not even register him at all.

Really solid performance from James Chester for Wales last night, in fact, good all round performance. Compared to England the night before, just goes to show how team spirit and working for each other far outstrips throwing a bunch of supposedly top players together. Mind you, it does help if you've got Bale on the pitch.
