Does anyone know when Roy Hodgsons contract runs out for England? And does anyone think he would be a good appointment if he was too quit after the Euros?

06 Apr 2016 23:17:13
He'd be a fantastic appointment Daz.

07 Apr 2016 00:54:44
I hope you said that with a straight face!

07 Apr 2016 17:00:35
It was. He is much maligned but he gets the best out of average players. Sounds tailor made for me.

I think hodgson is a great manager, has turned England around, and would of been great with the job Dodgers.
But. I disagree, I don't think he would be great for us, and the reason is, he does well building on a nucleus that's already with in a club, I don't think we have that. We need to build from the bottom up.

I think we have to accept the rotten damage at our club, and sadly be prepared for another season like this next.
And I think most people out there know and expect this, and that's why most of our choices, apart from the bully, won't take the job.

Sorry

I disagree Flackie I think he would be a great fit done wonders with a very average Fulham side and got the Tesco carrier bags to be stable in the Premiership but it's just all hindsight I guess.

I feel like like that Paul Whitehouse character in the Fast Show who keeps agreeing with everyone in the pub.

07 Apr 2016 21:21:27
Haha!!

06 Apr 2016 21:08:25
Aaahhh.

06 Apr 2016 20:22:10
Tried to find out before asking and know it's an irrelevant question but. anyone tell me when the "prepared" on the badge came into effect.

06 Apr 2016 19:10:48
Phew, I was worried that Lerner, Fox and the rest of the muppets at the top had been guilty of not doing their jobs this season
But no, turns out, the little scamps had been working on getting us a new badge.
Forget about a striker and goalkeeper in January, they were working on the badge crisis all along.
What a relief; Sorry I ever doubted them.

{Ed001's Note - do you think they will be sitting back reflecting on a job well done now?}

06 Apr 2016 19:31:13
Undoubtedly Ed.

{Ed001's Note - I am sure it will make all the difference to your chances of a swift return to the Prem. Now the claws are out, the players are sure to play better....}

06 Apr 2016 19:39:46
Ed, I'm sensing a twang of sarcasm.
You know what the say about sarcasm.

{Ed001's Note - moi? I am hurt by the accusation. Just because it is true doesn't mean it doesn't hurt! Just like when the missus asks me if I can fit through that gap, every time I go to walk between two parked cars, it can be very hurtful. Especially when you find you can't fit and have to find some way to get out of it without her noticing....}

Don't forget on the new badge the lion has now also got a beautiful flowing mane of hair, i believe it ties in with our new sponsors for next season, timotei-for when the world is falling down all around you but you still look good for the cameras!

06 Apr 2016 21:11:46
The irony of removing the word "prepared" in the season that we have been demonstrably totally and utterly unprepared is quite staggering
Is it some form of admission of guilt perhaps?

07 Apr 2016 11:50:33
I believe the Boards next major task, ahead of building any kind of cohesive team, is to reshuffle the deckchairs on the deck of the Titanic .

06 Apr 2016 06:48:37
By the way, regarding the re-branding, looks like we are getting our money's worth after all, we loose the word 'prepared'but the lion on the crest will be more like the original'scottish rampant lion', basically meaning the lion will revert back to having claws showing, something to do with our scottish history regarding when we helped form the league and won all those fa cups, and celebrating the scottish manager at the time! and so endeth the history lesson! i'm sure the younger villa fans will be struck silent in awe of tom fox's genius idea!
