I know he's not everybody's cup of tea but I would just like to wish Stan Collymore a speedy recovery as yet again he fights his battle with depression. No matter what anybody says he's one of our own who has struggled with depression as fans we need to stand by him. This is not about money this is about a mental illness. Stan Collymore loves Aston Villa and i for one hope he gets better soon!

Couldn't agree more, ok he never fulfilled his potential at the club he loves, often outspoken but he really does have the club at heart and wants what's best for it. hope he can get himself sorted and see the good times at villa return sooner rather than later. Get well Stan.

He isn't one of our own.
I pity anyone going through what he is. and depression is a terrible illness.
but don't use this as an excuse to ignore what he is, what he has done over the years, what he wasted, and what he says.
One of our own? To waste the talent and chance to play for your boyhood club, and then to publicly slate people who still show more effort than he ever did is laughable.
Get well soon Stan, but one of us, never.

So after Saturdays win and three more points, what do you reckon to tomorrow's clash with huddersfield? I personally think it's going to be a very difficult game. we picked up more injuries again Saturday. let's face it they are a good side, it would be a good scalp to take.

Brilliant performance yesterday, the injuries and maybe not being as clinical as we can be will be our only negatives to take from the game. We all know play offs are gone so finishing strongly is our priority to carry it into next year, and it looks as though we are doing that.
The whole squad and club are looking very helpful going into next season, a goalkeeper, centre back and right midfielder will probably be needed in the summer but other than that the squad is settled.
Two quality left backs competing and pushing each other, centre back paring that look like one of the best in the league, Hutton playing out his skin and De Laet to come back.
Midfield 3 that seem to be finding a way to work together, Jedinak the bloke we've missed for the last 5 years not just the last 5 games, Hourihane in and around the box further forward and Lansbury getting us moving.
left side that green is making his own but with Bjarnson to push him further, two quality strikers and Mccormack to come back (if his sold we'd need another for back up) and Adomah on the right who is quality but probably needs someone who can replace him incase of injury etc.
Don't want to jinx things, but with the most successful championship manager and this squad, things really are looking up for next season. Huddersfield robbed a point against us earlier in the season so let's go and get what we deserve!

3 wins on the trot, brilliant . We are starting to look more like a team . The only thing that drives me mad, is not being able to get coverage of the games . Been using AVTV, but they are so frustrating . They keep losing the coverage from the supplier, lost the last 20 mins today.
Watched ch 5 tonight showed the two goals, but nothing else . we have to get back up, at least you where always able to find someone streaming it in the premier . Dr T want to build our fan base world wide . surely AVTV should be the perfect way . If we struggle to get it here, the rest of the world got no chance.
So come on Dr T sort it out. Otherwise great to see the improvement. Onwards and Upwards Villaforever.

Avtv normally do have extended highlights but it's hard when playing away an teams may not have the same facilities as us in terms of camera access etc.
