Stan was a good servant for the club and will be an asset but not on the pitch.
His value will be in the background helping others.

So another week goes by the Small Heath people still wishing for Villa's takeover to fall through but unfortunately for them this won't now happen or indeed did it ever look likely to so the title of most idiotic sale in football history still remains firmly with the Birmingham simpleton's sale to Carson Yeung who is himself now a Villa legend.

Even with our relegation our fans can delight at the large amount of bluenose idiots that waste their time and trawl the Villa forums and newspaper stories in the hope of upsetting our fans with some badly thought out comment that usually leaves themselves with egg on their face, you would think that they would realize by now that our superior minded fans only gain pleasure from seeing how their own jealousy is eating away at them day after day driving them to despair, the trawling of our forums is nothing more than a cry for help and the first signs that distraught fans are desperate to abandon their bottom feeding club and join up with the mighty Villa .

With Villa now moving into a new era it once again looks like our city rivals will be left with faces like smacked arses and their tails between their legs, their future looks bleak and their intelligence stretched as they search for more words to say other than "the Vile and SOTV" with five word sentences a long way off as they look to face another century of living in our shadow.

I can tell you that life sure is sweet being a Villa fan, with blues having such a poor team as our city rivals no matter how low we sink the laugh is always on them and even after the worst season in our club history we were still good enough to knock blues out of the cup. We know as a club that it won't be long until we rise back to the top, unlike the Small Heath people who have themselves have only ever seen pictures of an FA Cup, they seem doomed like cat fish to a life scavenging around at the bottom. ;-)

So beautifully put.

Um, i'm guessing you wouldn't fancy a ground share with them then?

Long time no speak fellow villa fans. Last season became so bad for me that like many Villa fans I became a little dis-engaged and just wondered, what was the point of even moaning. Please don't get me wrong, I am not one of those fans that is only a fan when things are good. I was with Villa every step of the way but it was just so hard watching the demise of the club I love so much and after the Wycombe debacle with our fans it was hard to read Villa fans turn on other Villa fans.
Of course, in an ideal world we would still be in the premier league because that is where I believe a club like ours belongs but we're not. You get what you deserve and after last season we deserve where we are. The only people who don't deserve it are the fans (although some fans even embarrassed themselves) .
However, this season offers us something we haven't had for a while! A genuine chance at success. Not the success we'd have been dreaming of, but back to back wins would be a success after last season and with the new board and management team I feel very optimistic. RDM on his own didn't fill me with huge joy but adding Steve Clarke into the mix massively improved things. Some people will look at his managerial record and think he's rubbish but he is a great No2 and a brilliant coach. It would be great to see Eddie Newton at VP too.
Any success though will only come if the playing staff are right. I know N'Zogbia and Richardson are out of contract which is great and saves us around £85k a week. I'd also get rid of gabby, Bacuna, Lescott, Guzan and as much as I hate to say it Richards. Getting rid of those would save Villa in the tune of £200k per week and I don't think we lose much for that saving. I think it will be difficult to keep hold of the ayew's and Amavi's but I think it gives us an insight into their character if they go. Newcastle went down a few years ago and managed to keep hold of most of their stars and they came straight back. Of what's left we really do have a decent squad on paper for that division. In that division Okore, Clarke, Westwood, Gestede, Gardner and gana could really make a mark. You're not allowed many luxuries but having the likes of Gil, Sinclair, Grealish and Traore in the championship makes for exciting viewing if they're on song. Then add Ayew and Amavi if you can and you have a strong foundation to build on. We have around £50m to spend which I think should be spent on 5/ 6 quality championship players who are experienced in that division to get us out. I would say that with the Chelsea links RDM has I can see a few Chelsea reserves joining, and I'd love to see their striker Traore at VP. I also wanted to put on a list of names that are available on a free and get some views on them.
Artur Boruc, Mark Schwarzer, Brede Hangaland, Joao Teixeira, Flamini, Rosicky, kolo Toure, Demichelis, Steven Taylor, Leon Osman, Adebayor (lol), Tim Carrol, Stephane Sessegnon.
Whatever happens I have heard lots of villa fans asking for what we have now which is a new owner, new manager and some money to spend. Since the new owner I have heard Villa fans moan which is an absolute Joke which goes to show that some fans will never be happy. I think we should all now forget last season, accept where we are and go into next season full of hope and excitement that we might be able to make a a fight for the championship title, or even a trip to Wembley in the play offs. Sorry for the really long post.

Welcome back Mike. Do you want your essay marked - if so, you'll have to join the queue behind Time traveller in the previous posting ;)

Mr . Know . it all, do you honestly believe that DMT dosent know his job . Unless he's been living on planet Zog for the last few months I'm sure he will be up to date, on who the wasters are . He unlike some of the players, is a professional . i'm sure he won't need any help from the wonderful Mr Black . The main problem for him i, is the amount it will cost to get rid of them . Be more cost affective, to put the in a bargain basement sale, that's if anybody will won't them. But I certainly underestimate DMT, by thinking he's coming in blind . You should have a bit more faith . Villa forever.

I think Micah, Gabby and the Klingon will be gone- they will be snapped up by a MLS or Chinese team. So once again, China comes to the rescue for Villa!

05 Jun 2016 10:19:37
Anybody else think these players should be called back off holiday early so rdm can look at what his got before making judgment we all know who the bad 1s are but what if he dont? they may also puton a show 4 him till deadlines gone an then go back to there usual tricks he needs to watch dvds of last season an get a brief from eric black!

05 Jun 2016 12:23:22
As long as Gabby is gone I will put up with any other decision he chooses to make.
This shouldn't be difficult to achieve. If Gabby is a stone overweight halfway through a season, in a job where he has to run around for 3 hours a day, imagine what state he'll come back in after 6 weeks on the beach with a shisha pipe?
RDM will think we have Bubbles Devere playing up front. daaaahhhling.

I haven't heard a Little Britain reference in a decade, Mendax! Keep up!

05 Jun 2016 17:22:24
For me Gabby signifies everything that is wrong with the culture within the playing staff at Villa. He's been with us for a decade now and in that time we have seen players come, and players come up through the ranks and turn into nothing. The Moore brothers, Bannan, isiah Osbourne, Nathan delfonsou, and many more have seen their role model in gabby just stroll around without a care in the world believing that he is gods gift to Aston villa and football. Kids see that attitude and believe that to be where gabby is and do what gabby does they need to be the same. We have no leaders at villa park and when Gabby is the club captain you only have one way to go and that is down. If that man is a teams inspiration then you may as well shut up shop. We need leaders and role models at our club and we won't find that if you add up everything that our last 3 captains have had in Richards, Gabby and Lescott. Apparently Stan Peteov wants to play for us again. Now, he may be lacking in quality after such a gap, and his age isn't on his side but just to have such an inspirational person and fighter in our changing room around all the young players would do them the world of good. Onwards and upwards.
