When the football 'experts' behind the scenes at villa managed to negotiate an 8.5m release clause into our captains contract last year, is anybody aware of how many of our new superstars have relegation release clauses?

Our problem is going to be who takes them
Personally, I'd keep all those mentioned plus Adama, Gil and maybe Gestede
Adama and Amavi on the wings with Gil at number 10 and Gestede upfront profiting from the service of the 2 on the wings should be enough to beat most sides in the Championship.

You wouldn't keep Ayew? I know he got set off the other night but I think he's been our best player under Remi Garde.

I agree he has, but being the best in a bad bunch doesn't give you anything.
Our problem is, we will be stuck with all these players, as who would want any of them??
Sunderland want Richards? Do they really, or was that rumour to disrupt our dressing room further? But if they want our right back, he refuses to play there, and only does under duress, let them!
Qpr want grealish? Why? What has he done, accept score 1 great goal, and play well in one Derby?
The only quality player we have us Gil, and he would be kicked from pillar to post in championship!
The Klingon is wanted in America, good riddance. To slow, uninterested, and after a pay day.
The only man we should fight to keep is garde. Articulate, calm, and through all this has been a true gentleman.
Given the time to put his stamp on a team of his building, I believe would be our turning point.

In response to fplmorg, I just don't know mate. One minute I think he would tear up the championship, the next I think he'd be a luxury. But, you are right. On balance he is one we should keep.

Ayew could be a keep up till xmas to see how he does. Don't think Adama would stay probably go back to spain. At least this shows we all think along the same lines on who's worth keeping. Remi is a must.
