9 mil bid in for left back amavi. Looks a good promising left back. There is no way lerner is funding these deals. I think new owner is funding them and they being clever and make some signings before announce takeover so every player we bid on don't suddenly become 5 mil more. I think sherwood is using this once he gets to speak to the player and sell new owners vision to land the players. Great way of doing business if this is the case I say.

Thats what's puzzling me mate where we got all the cash because apparently begovich amavi townsend austin adebyor nct mate must be new owner funding the deals
04 Jul 2015 13:55:59
I'm sure we had a bid for him accepted a few weeks ago and he stated he has no interest of joining us hoping Lyon would come in for him
05 Jul 2015 06:49:03
I've been thinking that Micky Arison will be the new owner for a while and with the Chinese consortium turning their attention to WBA only backs up my thoughts. Also I noticed when I was reading up on Micky Arison that if you look him up on Wpedia you will see on the right hand side under the heading Occupation/Owner you will see Miami Heat and then Aston Villa written in red so draw your own conclusions from that.

I've got a feeling it isn't him. I have no clue who it is only what I hear in rumours like other people but I have a strong feeling that it's not him but it is a American. I herd a rumour yesterday as to who it is and they had some quite interesting back up to there statement. Can't say who I was told it was due to who told me and it could get them into hot water but let's just say that next week will be a happy time for villa support and a very bright future is ahead of us with this persons absolutely massive wealth. No player will be out of our reach.
05 Jul 2015 12:13:03
I hope your right kingvilla. But I have a nasty feeling of another false dawn .
To miss out on the Chinese consortium is a disaster.
Mega wealth, mega new fan base, massive future.
05 Jul 2015 13:37:37
We didn't miss out on the Chinese, Randy told them where to go
05 Jul 2015 14:33:17
I've got to be honest I was convinced it was wang jianlin buying us but I'm now 98 per cent it's American money. The person that has told me is someone I trust would know something but can't say anymore incase it gets them into hot water. This is only rumor same as anything at mo but if this guy is right we are about to hit the jackpot and we won't need chinese money.
05 Jul 2015 15:58:58
If we can't keep our best players. Christian Benteke it proves we have not the money stated, and I presume his transfer fee is paying for our new players, be sad to see him go
05 Jul 2015 16:13:29
Whether randy turned them down, or they walked away.
Either way, we missed out on them.
Give me a name, tell me who the new owner is!
Until it happens I won't believe it!
We have had these promises before.
Every summer we hold our breath through this transfer window.
I'll say again, if you where buying a club, that you know needs massive investment, would you seriously wait until after a transfer window?? Until most teams are back pre season??
Or would you strike early?? Make a move to show intent?? To convince your 'Stars' not to leave??
It's another pipe dream.
False dawn, and broken promises.
Again.

All ill say is American and very very very rich. Randy is like a penny this guy a pound.
05 Jul 2015 20:21:30
I hope so, and have heard same rumour, name i heard was Larry Ellison.
But heard same thing last year, and in January.
Mate, I hope everyone on here knows I like to be positive, and always try to speak intelligently! I seriously hope, pray your right.
But.
I have a feeling again.
I ask again, if him, or anyone new, wealthy and wanting success, why is it not done, so manager can invest, and get team settled in pre season?? Would that not give more chance??
Please explain what I'm missing!!
05 Jul 2015 20:39:39
The Villain. I take it you were in the room when "Randy told them where to go"
None of us know who it is or who it isn't so why make all these assumptions based on lazy journalism ?
As for those upset at the thought we have missed out on some Chinese investment, 2 words : Carson Yeung

My thoughts exactly mendax. Just to add though flackie I thing half these bids we putting in and the money we spending is from a new owner and they trying to spend a bit before announce takeover so prices don't go up on players we after. Time will tell and I hope it is this week we find out for all our hearts. And if it is this week or even next week the window has only been open 5 days so we still got 7 weeks or so for players. Yes get them as early as possible to gell but I think we will all be very happy come kick off first game with our side.
05 Jul 2015 21:34:55
Mendex, I do agree, and thought the same!! Just a name was attached to this bid, so could do some basic checks on line!!
And kingvilla, part of me does totally agree! The money is coming from some where.
I just have a nasty feeling, of here we go again. !!
05 Jul 2015 22:01:37
Hi Flackie
I'm being a bit thick
What name ? (not that Janglin guy was it; his name gets whacked about all over the place)
What was it attached to ?
Who attached it ?
Sorry to be pernickety, I just get frustrated with journalists throwing out stuff speculatively which is subsequently picked up by fans as fact
05 Jul 2015 23:12:49
If you are on about wang jianlin mendax he was the guy I'd been told was buying us. Since then I've herd as have a few on here that randy has passed up the offer from chinese. Now in a interesting twist tonight I'm seeing a few reports splashed about that he is the tesco boys new owner. That being said if randy has passed up on a guy worth about 27 billion I think the American I've been told today that is buying us sounds more likely as he is worth a fare bit more than that. Hope this all falls into place nice for us over the next few days and the tesco boys owner don't splash it and out do us.
05 Jul 2015 23:22:18
I hope your right kingvilla
06 Jul 2015 12:50:10
Hi Kingvilla. If you had 29 billion quid burning a hole in your pocket and wanted to buy a football club, would your really settle for buying the "Olbion" ?
I think you'd set your sights a little higher, don't you ?
Who is buying us, I have no idea and I don't think anyone on here does either
I have to say I tend to go with the Flackie view that it could all be a bit underwhelming when it does happen.
But then I'm a natural pessimist as far as Villa goes
I'm like a little ray of sunshine with everything else!
06 Jul 2015 14:40:07
I agree you would aim higher than the tesco boys but to be fare he did he went for us and randy said no from what's been said. If I had 29 billion m8 I'd of snapped us up and pumped the cash in to push us up the league but I'm sorry guys I haven't:(. I still am very optimistic we will end up in a great place though when our new American owner gets announced.
