One word ABYSMAL.
And now we have all & sundry posting on here with their infantile comments.
Thank goodness our motto is PREPARED.

Couldn't agree more Supermac. What absolutely baffles me, is how people have the time or the inclination to post on the sites of clubs they don't support
Very sad
As for Villa. It's time for Lambert to go surely.
What other club in the premiership would put up with this level of performance?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi Mendax, Happy new year to you.
Like many others I travel a round trip of some 400 miles to watch this bunch of inept players wear the shirt that I have supported for over 65 years.
I have seen the relegation down to the 3rd div, the FA cup win etc etc, but never have I seen such a performance from any team named Aston Villa over the last few games.
No spirit, no pride, no idea.
Soon I will have to make my decision about spending more money than Scrooge is willing to give to PL.
Given the funds I still believe we could become an upper mid table team not fighting to avoid the drop.
PL will not be sacked because Lerner knows that he will not be able to get another person prepared to buy into his vision, so he will give him a couple of quid and expect more miracles.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi all.

I would imagine PL is now one defeat away from the sack.

It would not surprise me if we have a candidate already lined up, It is quite apparent that Paul Lambert is not up to the task of managing a club the size of Aston Villa.

His line up today confirmed to me that he does not have a clue, he is still not sure of his best team, although neither am I to be honest.
This squad performed very well towards the end of last season and gave us all great hope for this season.

Our team has no shape, no backbone, and no midfield.

To me this all points to poor management and coaching techniques.

The time has come for Lerner to man up and find a replacement, give whoever the funds needed, or get up and go himself.

"WE ARE NOT personS
LET US SEE SOME CHANGES NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE"

For the sake of our club.

Got bloody canaries on here. It seems that foul pest is about again.
They bleated when PL left for a bigger challenge, they then bleated about Hughton's style.
You can't fault them for winging, that's all they do.
Very little else happens in the flat lands that we can post on here!

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a lot, but we are still in the F A cup, personally if we go out in the replay would be better than your loss, but then again it happened to us last SEASON TWICE, we let the opposition win by playing the youth team, now you know how it feels, I notice you didn't sell many tickets to see the Mighty Villa

Agree0 Disagree0

What are you waffling about? None of us know how it feels to be a Norwich supporter.
We ain't that sad.
Its bad being a Villa supporter but following the canaries only means one thing, you get s--t on from a height.

Agree0 Disagree0

Aww, what's up? Has your Messiah turned into a pile of poo. Oh well, just deploy your normal tactics and when you play your next away game chant for their manager and when it all falls apart just turn on him and deny that you ever wanted him
in the first place you fickle fools.

Agree0 Disagree0

The Messiah actually delivered the goods. Read your bible.
It was the persons that doubted that did the damage.

All the to--ers that keep coming on here shouting the odds are the same type of non believers that have been around for over 2000 years.
Nothing new there then!

I've always been a firmer believer that Lambert would "do the job" for Villa. I doubted it last season until the end when we played decent football and scored goals for fun. Its more or less the same team - but its playing boring, bad football - why!? Lambert needs to buy good players this January, or I'm sorry I've given up on him and he has to go!

Hoddle, some people have short memories. He hardly set the world alight at Southampton, Spurs and Wolves, without any serious investment it won't matter who the Manager is, we are in for battle every season. VTID

can Lambert just leave like now. Couldn't beat Bradford, now Sheffield

Believable0 Unbelievable0

So do you still think he can keep you up? looks like 3 derbies at least for next season might even be 4 if the Saddlers go up

Agree0 Disagree0

All over to lerner back him or go?

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, alexberb1. Another loss against a poor League One side. Lambert's tactics were once again questionable, he must be sacked now.

Agree0 Disagree0

He has been

Agree0 Disagree0

And which Messiah will take his place with the same poor squad and little financial backing but turn us into world beaters? Be real were a poor side and will be until Lerner goes, it can't all be put on Lambert

Agree0 Disagree0

Lambert must go has lost the plot, he cannot cope in the PL, Lerner most take some action asap or Villa Park will become empty with passing fixture.

Agree0 Disagree0

They are ALL HIS PLAYERS resign PL, HODDLE

Agree0 Disagree0

We can all call for Lambert's head, as I did in the original post, but we do not sign the cheques and try as we might the decision is up to Lerner. either that or this weird rumour that Red Bull might buy us. Whoever is in charge and whoever own the club I love my club, results may matter but as long as we still play I will support them

VTIFD (villa till I die[just in case you thought it was a typo])

Agree0 Disagree0

I have to laugh to see all you Villa fans crying over Lambert now, You sometimes have to be very careful what you wish for, yes their are 3 points that separate us, but looking at both sets of next few fixtures which would you prefer, we have a greater chance of climbing than you have

Agree0 Disagree0

I have to chuckle too mate, no wonder the City board didn't trust him which our millions, look at his abysmal signings for villa, all flops aside from a one season wonder want away striker who has now turned into a sick note. He fooled them into a new contract and is now working on getting a transfer. Always said he wanted to go to Arsenal in the first place.

well it seems as if helenius and bowery are finally going to be given a decent chance to impress in the cup today, I think if bowery doesn't show anything impressive today we will get rid because he doesn't look up to standard and he has had a few small chances in the 18 months he's been at VP but I sincerely hope big nicklas can showcase his talents to the full today because he could be crucial in the league run-in.
