Never a red card. It was late but that is all Not high, not two -footed, not out of control. Villa had Southampton exactly where they wanted them, chasing the game and making defensive mistakes against a team that are renowned for their counter attacking.

The question that the initial poster should be asking is "why did Southampton not score more?" After all the Villa defence is not what it should be but the ailing S'hampton attack could not get through. Both of the pass's for the goals should have been cut out or at least challenged for before they went in the net. 3 future England strikers, I think not!
