Lots of Tw@tter gossip saying we will sign adebayor by Saturday. That we're in pole position to sign traorè from Barca and also Italian playmaker diamanti from A Chinese side. Diamanti is 32 now but I remember him when he had a season at West Ham and he was quality. I think these would be 3 decent signings. Also read Ray Wilkins saying that TS knows so much about so many players and that there aren't many players he doesn't know about in world football. He says that allow the players have been chosen based on the intensity of how we'll train and play football. Hopefully he then finds a RB and another CB. Cissokho off to Porto too.

Would love to see adama at the villa only seen a little of him but I think I would rather him than Townsend very tricky player to predict thrives on running at defenders. Anyone know what's happening with him seeing a lot that villa are favourites? Any truth?

My team for Bournemouth, If we are finding it tough in midfield we can change to three at the back and form a five man midfield without any problems, just bring Amavi forward he would slot in no problem with his ability.

We did do well with him in the team last season with his vocal skills , good shout villa dave and with gil injured can't see him making the game , maybe a change of system, either way we do have options maybe require a rb rw cf to rewlly push us in to the top 10 ?

Traore is n amazing talent he's fast strong two good feet scores an provides an stays on the wing if villa get him its a massive coup an with adebyor an a cb top ten i reckon this season anyone agree

Is it just me wondering why we are not urgently lookin for a decent centre back? I'm pleased with our development but at the moment it looks like a case of us needing to score at least twice per game to win as defence is so leaky

Talk of traore an Adebayor are all well an good but let's get a solid defence first

We have a solid base.
Don't read into pre season, other than fitness it means nothing.
We now have the best defensive team we have had for years!

i agree all this running around gettting attacking players and for me we still need another RB and help at CB. richards didn't really shine when he was at city as a CB, okore can have his moments of madness but quite solid, baker other than his height i fee he's not good enough and makes too many mistakes, clark up till last year most villa fans I've spoke to have slated him and don't rate him and sendoros??? are you kidding me that man is awful, when he is fit he played one good game so far.
