Don't think we need either of them, there's better strikers available than hernandez surely. although one Hull player I do rate is Harry maguire.

I believe Phelan has already been earmarked to manage the Syrian national squad. Probably slightly less of an impossible task than the one he took on at Hull.

I'd take Phelan, very good number two. Look at all the most successful managers, they have a similar back room staff everywhere they go; Mourinho, Pep, Wenger. So if Phelan was available I don't see why not, Hernandez would be decent as well, if he was who Bruce wanted.

here's one I want to throw out there. sb has good links to man u. Jose is happy to loan players to bruce as he knows he uses them. so as well as the young keeper how about taking menthis depay on loan till end of season with a view to buy if we go up. could play down the left. got a pass got a trick got a goal or 2 in him. granted he needs a arm round him at times but been frozen out at man u and I feel there is a very good player in there needing a helping hand to get out. Dr tony step up my friend. davie selke to replace gestede and be 2 great signings.

Depay cost United about 25 million and is probs on 80 grand a week. Can't see him coming to the championship. He will go to Everton or Roma. Or even China.

We know where and when the malaise started but it does still linger.
I have been advocating a hard midfielder to come in as captain. Elphick arrived but he is a softy. Why the fudge did we buy a guy that couldn't get a game with his club?

A club captain that leads the club on and off the pitchamps, carries the managers instructions and bollix the lazy buggers (take your pick) .
In short we lack leadership.

You know what can happen when a leader arrives a team turns the tables and wins the league. It was Pearson that won the title not Ranieri.
Where oh where is the next Ron Saunders?

And let's be honest. they may not be world beaters. but they are good players.
