What is going on with these refs? Every week they seem to get worse . Surely the ref and linemen are a team, if so how can the linemen not make any kind of decision on their own . Game after game thing occur right in front of them and still they're frightened to put their flag up . From where I sit in the front row of the North Stand, that looked a nailed on pen, for Jack to get booked as well was diabolical Week after week we go home, like today compleatly baffled by some of these refs decisions .

Say this week after week at the games, the Lino’s get paid to do nothing, they look at the red to decide who gets a throw it’s an absolute farce, the standard of refereeing below the prem is a disgrace. You either get the failed footballer who wants everything to be about them so try to make everything a drama and create big decisions out of everything, the arrogant little man syndrome who just wants to wind players up offering no explanation for bizarre decisions or the donuts who really don’t have a clue have no control over the game and let everything get out of control and that’s when players get wound up and there’s more and more fouls. And as for today our first goal came from a pass between the full back and centre half to Adomah that we tried 5 or 6 times all game, every time bar one was called offside, I’m certain there was 2 more that was clearly onside but got the wrong call.

Another good win and 3more points. The score flattered burton and their goals didn't come untill we subbed snoddy and adoma. seemed to lose our shape and push, what onamah brings to our game is beyond me. He must be doing something in training to merit his place, but whatever it is he dosnt bring it to a match day. Can understand the gaffer making the change in the case of snoddy, who has a niggling groin. we don't want to lose him at this crucial stage. Adomah though should have stayed on. The ref had a mare again with decisions, the foul on jack was a stone blind penalty. He got what he deserved though with a peach of a goal, its a wonderful thing to watch him reaching his full potential. ONWARDS ànd UPWARD VILLA FOREVER,

Only thing I'd slate the boss for is once again having two defensive midfielders on the bench, makes no sense get green or O'hare on there. I can see why he made the two subs when he did, we were cruising and they hadn't had a sniff all game, what turned the game was the penalty not given, that was plain and simple evening it up after he didn't give one to them in the first half, it's wrong, you treat every incident as separate and that was a penalty. That own goal is the most baffling thing I've seen at the football in a long time, possibly ever, it's inexcusable and ridiculous. What didn't help was Onomah, I hope I never have to watch him play for us again, his first touch is shocking and always breaks down our attack's and puts us in danger, if he put effort in along side that you might forgive him, but he doesn't, after 10 minutes he plays as though he's had a game every day the week before, jacks been on for 90 minute and his having to run his arse off closing people down because Onomah can't be bothered, bin him off ASAP! The play for our first goal was quality and showed what we can do, Blues are going to be right up for next week but sort the bench out, keep Onomah out and we should have too much for them.

100% agree about anomah,
Should not be anywhere near the first team for me,
But now he is on loan from spurs does he have to play a certain amount of games?
Hope not he is not the wonderkid some spurs fans think he is,

As you say mainbob, we did make hard work of it . Atimes we played some really good football, Hogans goal summed it up . Our problems started when Brucie, decided to sub Snoddy& Albert at the same Time . After this, we lost all our forward momentum and also our shape . Against Burton I honestly thought Brucie would of had, a couple of the kids on the bench . Now Green has had a few U23 games, surely he would be ideal replacement for Albert . Brucie would rather have Onhoma on the left, the kid hasent got the foggiest . At least we have won and kept the momentum going . Bring on the noses, hearing them on the radio, they are really up for it HaHa Also iv got to say Hutton had a good game again . Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

He is a pivotal part along with grealish to how we play.

Great result but we made hard work of putting Burton to bed,
Pleased that Hogan on scoresheet again,
The scoreline flattered Burton we should have been out of sight
But we won and that's the plus points,
Now for the bluenoses who are playing better than earlier in season,

Nice to see Jermain Defoe is to be honoured as Personality of the Year at the North East Football Writers' Association's annual awards for his friendship with Bradley Lowery. After the gazillions spent in the transfer window, it goes to show that the best things about football (& footballers) are still free. Well deserved.
