With ayew suspended next game I expect we will see grealish straight back in the team and Gabby on the bench again, judging by the villa Twitter Gabby has just got 2 assists in 3 minutes for the u23's.

I was at the game yesterday and came away from it with exactly the same thoughts as I have for a long long time.
Midfield is not good enough. Gardener scored a cracking header and faded. Westwood is nowhere near good enough, never has been and never will be.
Jedinak was colossal but lacks the mobility at a tired 32 years old.
Tshibola is a good prospect and needs time. I've said this so many times but I really do think that we need 2 TOP QUALITY midfielders to get us out of this league.

Don't think the age thing should be used as an excuse, Jedinak looks brilliant in a midfield 3, he just isn't that mobile. Look at Barton last year for Burnley, he's surely a similar age and he was all over the park week in week out. Would love it if in Jan Hull are struggling and bruce can persuade Huddlestone to come, he's a top player in this league.

My thoughts on yesterday's game, I thought in the end we were lucky to get a point, the second half performance was very poor, especially the forwards, ayew didn't look interested, except Bruce seems to have him tracking his man back, McCormack just doesn't seem to fit in anywhere, and Kodkja was totally outmuscled by shotton, the pluses were baker and jedinak, I think come January the futures of ayew, McCormack and elphick will come in to question . i personally think Bruce will go for a right back, creative midfielder player and a new forward, especially if gabby shows he can do a job .

The only job Gabby can do is to get the burgers in at Burger King. Never should wear the Villa shirt again.

In some ways I happy to see gabby comeing on yesterday, and I think he did alright yeah I'll never get his name on the back of shirt again but I support him once he is trying and putting in the effort I do think if fit and head in the right place he will bring something a bit different I think the wolves game was crying out for somebody like him
Put yourself in his boots for a minute yeah he says he bleeds aston villa but let himself go in the 2-3 seasons but can he be really blamed under learner our hole club was a joke 99% of managers were never good enough and some of the players were worse the half decant ones we had we sold them thinking we made a profit when really we could have got a lot more gabby has seen all this happen how could any player give a toss when the owner dosen't, I defend his actions and the state he let himself get into as a professional athlete but a the moment he one of our players so therefore we need all hands on deck to get out of this mick mouse league all ready he has improved he got more touches in 10 mins yesterday than he did in the hole of the first half last season against Liverpool it seems we have given bacuna another chance okare name was wanted on starting 11 a the beginning of the season I'm my eyes he done a hole lot worse refused the play last season
I think it's showing that everybody is on board now and when mangers and players gel that little bit more will push on we are on a bit of run at the moment and players will be forgetting what a defeat tastes like rather than going into every game trying and hoping for a draw because that's what was happening under rdm
Let's get behind every player now and be 12th man that we used to be we have a pretty good squad very good manager and a top notch owner onwards and upwards.

{Ed001's Note - did you give a toss when the owner didn't? If so, how can you absolve Agbonlahor for not giving a toss when he is not just a fan of the club, but being paid a huge sum by it? Surely he should care more? It is not just the club he supports, but the company paying for him to live in a big house with flash cars to drive! It should be everything to him.}

IF i went to work with Gabbys attitude it would not be long before i got my P45.

31 Oct 2016 18:05:24
I agree with edd001's but I do think if he puts in the effort he should be given a chance at the end of the day he still on the wage bill so we should be makeing the most of every player we have yeah he lives in a bug house with fancy cars but that was previous owners fault and I do agree that we would get the p45 if we had that attitude but was bacuna richards grealish hutton all saints aswell it was the entire club that failed us the supporters the few seasons not just 1 player I'm not asking anybody to sung his name from the roof tops but while he wearing the claret and blue and doing his best we should be supporting him
I did here the fans yesterday singing his name when he came on if fit with the right frame of mind he will be like a new signing for us.

Always had time for Rowlett, before today, but his reaction and stupid comments after the game, iv changed my mind. How on earth can he accuse Codjia, of play acting . Codjia was battered time and again, in the back and legs . Rowlett told him he should be ashamed of his play acting . For those who reckon he's a Villa fan, you've got it wrong he's a typical nose . Nice to see the police thanking Villa fans, for their response on the day . Pity the same can't be said about the noses, reports on Facebook, say the Yenton pub attacked . Reported people waving knives about, infront of little kids and punching young girl in the face . One well known nose on Facebook, saying what a disappointing showing it was by Villa, could it be its because Villians have a few more brains . Onwards& Upwards Villaforever.

Gary Rowett is a joke .

TBH we was lucky as the 2nd half as we didn't turn up .

However Rowett moans about the things that are part and partial of the modern game

Kodjia diving - erm no he was being kicked in the air by Shotton

Gollini time wasting - doesn't every keeper do it?

The face that we spent 50 million on players!

Firstly because we can afford to!
Secondly so would he if he had the money .
Finally his team is expensively assembled compared to the Burton Albion team which beat them 2-0 the week before!

Also Noted how he failed to mention was the noses keeper was lucky to get away with a red card for poleaxing Adomah which led to him being taken off injured!

Had adomah been still on the pitch, I also think the outcome would of been different as he has pace which scares the life out of defenders

Do us a favour Rowett if your going to bleet on then please speak some sense!
