Any sort of injury to kodja or hogan and gabby will be our main striker, all competitions and rotation could see him getting 15-20 games this season and although he isn't the best he still gets the chances and will inevitably put one or two away, so 8+ goals in a team at the top end of the league isn't too far fetched imo.

Shame grealish is out, as much as he divides opinion, he's an asset to any team in this division. It's a big season for him and now his missing a third of it, have to feel for him. Don't particularly remember the challenge but must have been something in it to give him a bleed on his kidney. Without him Bruce will either go two up top, 442, probably gabby and hogan, or keep to the 4411 with hourihane in the 10 role.
I'd think 4411 give us more protection with 3 centre mids, so we could control games. Hopefully now given more freedom and in his right position Hourihane can find the form he had last season, his set pieces will always be quality but he's looked off it in the friendlies.

Agree, but unfortunately Bruce seems to like him. He doesn't look like he will ever score.

Would love to see us get in a big target man up top,
We have no Ariel threat and with almo and green putting in crosses they are wasted,
Years ago samba played up top when at Blackburn and he did a great job.
Not so sure he can do it now though!
We have more than enough mid/ fielders but without kodija we struggle,

I'm not so sure I agree. Crosses into box I think we are fine in the air.
I think hogan will surprise a few this year, and I think he is underestimated in the air.
Also kodja is great in the air. if, and yes it's an if, they could get an understanding. I think all basis are covered.
The problem we have is if we go long, as in the ball over the top. I think we struggle with a guy to hold the ball up. Personally, I hope we don't need to go long. I detest this desperate style of football!

I don't disagree. I'm just saying that what we have if we play to their strengths should rip this league apart.
What you forget, before Dion signed we all thought he was crap! Used to be a figure head in our song! "If Dion plays for England, so can I.! "
However, that was soon forgotten when he showed his worth in a villa shirt!
Give hogan a chance. trust me, he is what we need.

I hope gabby and McCormack go . not entirely sure about a target man as there aren't many options out there presently.
Do matteo was interested in Hernandez from Hull . Maybe if he is available we should have a look at him .
Bruce seemed to get the best out of him and he is over 6ft so could be an option.
