When your playing against the ref and the other team, and you still get the 3 points you've got a strong team. Haven't seen the Taylor red card but from the Holte the way the ref acted was like Taylor had two footed him and broke both his legs or the ref wanted some of the limelight. I don't understand how they get away with games like today, if you get that many things wrong in any other job in the world your out on your arse.

De Laet can play there but he looked awful in the cup, Bjarnson has played there but looked worse. Only position we haven't got proper cover in.

I’m pretty sure Chester has played there when needs just in the past. so I can see samba and terry in middle, and Chester on left.
Would be safe defending, but weaker attacking on left.
Personally I would like to see Thor there. As I do think he is better than we have seen of him so far. But knowing Bruce, it’s the non conceding part he would protect first. And rightly so!

Mind you Borg is a good attacking full back.

Fantastic victory today can't believe the referee, he was awful. Kept the winning run going which is all that matters at the end of the day. Also great crowd down there today love seeing Villa Park when there's loads there. I do think the international break comes at the wrong time for us but never mind. UTV.

WTW I have to agree, we have had some rubbish refs this season, but the one today was the worst iv seen . Bolton where like watching the old Stoke, but i think Bolton was even worse . With their style of pushing, holding and anything else they could get away with, we needed a strong ref and what we got was a joke . The standard of refereeing in this league is realy bad. The one a couple of games ago, didn't even know what to do with a dropped ball . didn't see the sending off clearly, but I think it was one of that refs standard cockups . Onwards& Upwards Villaforever.

Another 3 points, even though we made hard work of it . Then the day gets even better, with the Noses getting hammered . One of my bluenose mates, was trying to convince me last night, that it's all part of the plan . You hold them out first half, then bring the subs on and win it second half . Back to the drawing board I think, you have to give it them for optimism HaHa . Two weeks rest now and get ready for the Wolves . Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

Well that was fraught with danger, but hey ho i will take that all day long. Up to sixth and the play off places. Taylors red a bit of a blow and unnessesary. We got the win and that's all that matters. ONWARDS AND UPWARDS VILLA FOREVER.
