Several posters said that Gabby had no chance of getting on the pitch.
20 mins that show he has still got a chance.
No manager worth his Salt would take a player without being prepared to play him.
Well done Bruce, you have recognised that your senior player was poorly treated by previous management and could well be a valuable asset.
Hopefully his regeneration programme will have us all calling his name again.
{Ed001's Note - treated poorly? He was like Lee Hendrie - out getting hammered the night before games! He is lucky to still have a contract with the club with his total lack of professionalism. Pricks like him annoy me, they have the best job in the world and take the piss by not putting in any effort.}

Sadly I agree with the ed, (Jesus! )
It's no so much the getting pissed before a game that annoys me, it's the 'I love villa, cut me I bleed claret and blue' image he wanted, and then the disrespect he showed us all.
Not caring for the plight we where in, the demise of the club, and even celebrating after losses.
I'm not sure I can really forgive him for these actions.
I will celebrate if he scores, I'll applaud if he does the right things ob the pitch. But I will never sing his name again.
Having said that. he played with heart, and massive passion today.

Here, here Ed, dissappointed Gabby was included and really hope we don't have a few months of, he's trying and nearly there, you watch he will start scoring soon! I am sure we have heard this all before sadly and given him time over the last 3 seasons. Perhaps he will make an impression at this level and would love to be proved wrong. Thought fair result today and still progress from SB as if think a few weeks ago we fancied getting embarrassed today! UTV.

*Disclaimer - Did Not Attend Game*
What was the point of keeping gabby at the club at all in the summer window? Why not just pay him off and terminate his contract? The powers that be must have wanted to either get him back pushing for a starting place or intended to sell him on.
In either scenario he has to be in contention to play. He's only going to get properly match fit with game time and I can't see any team buying him based off the past few years performances alone so he needs game time to show his worth. It's probably the reason Dr Xia was upset on twitter when he refused to go out on loan especially with the number of strikers he is competing with for a place even off the bench.
Love him or hate him he has to at least be given the opportunity to play and not be frozen out completely, assuming terminating his contract is off the table.

{Ed001's Note - what if he has grown up and realised he can't do those kind of things if he wants to play football at his best? Would you still not want him near the team? It can happen that they suddenly realise how they have been wasting their career by drinking it away. Or they could go the way of Lee Hendrie and slip down the leagues, then spend their entire time on podcasts etc talking about how they wasted their career and how hilarious it was that they stole a living for years.....}

The Reason Gabby is showing some heart now is because he does not want to be shipped out in January Transfer Window. Does anybody not remember his attitude last season.

Should have Terminated Gabbys contract long ago.
