Question time people what's the best away ground you have been to for atmosphere?

30 Nov 2016 16:29:06
Parkhead. The mighty Hoops v Rangers.
One of world football's great local derbies.

Agree Andy pf and everybody that has been there will tell you the same.

Where does villa park in your opinion stand for top atmospheres week in Week Out?

01 Dec 2016 15:49:32
Villa Park is a fabulous ground and great when we are doing well, but on a week in week out basis it rates no more than ok.
The problem is we seem to need a request form whoever to up the atmosphere, it should not be like that.
Back in the late 50s, 60s 70s and 80s the atmosphere was electric nobody asked for it, it just was.
Don’t anybody say we are the best supporters, we are far from it, we are up there yes but that’s all.
Reason: we are never satisfied.

Very intresting view mate i agree at times villa park can be flat but in them years you mentioned it was standing which i think gave football grounds more atmosphere.

01 Dec 2016 17:13:22
Yep can`t argue with that.

01 Dec 2016 21:08:44
When those in the stands started to stamp their feet the whole ground erupted.
Seating and concrete have reduced the Villa Park stamp.
Could we have a regular big drum, a hunting horn etc etc?
Also we need a terrace cheerleader to maintain enthusias. Someone that does not despair.
Who is up for it?

01 Dec 2016 23:03:12
Drums tend to be for small clubs.

02 Dec 2016 10:51:28
We don't need drums, horns cheerleaders or any other kind of razzamataz.
What we need is to build a successful team and club.
With the Doctor and SB this is very possible . The club is well supported already but success will bring enough people back through the turnstiles th fill our famous old ground every match.
Then listen to the noise!
