So doom and gloom merchants out there who have been posting about how awful our pre season results have been.
A Manchester United XI beat Crewe last night by 2 goals to nil. So by your Championship manager mentality our 5-1 win against them must mean we are better than Man Utd. & Newport are better than us?!

AS we approach the coming season where do we see AVFC finishing in the prem. Last year we struggled and gave away some silly points and had we not we could have been around 10th in a poor year and not struggling till the end of the season. With the way PL has built the team over the last few weeks it does look that we may achieve a place around 8th. Many of the teams that ended just above us we gave the odd point to and had we not then 50+ points would have been achieved. Also we gave MUFC a run for their money and should have got 1 if not 3pts. So the simple question 10th, 9th, 8th or better? I am in for 8th!
10th will be an achievement for next season. Baby steps my friends!

I think we should all wait and see how we are doing around Christmas time.
I am very pleased the way things are going at the moment, if we are in the top HALF at Christmas who knows.
It would be nice to see us finish in the top 10, and it is possible we could do even better.
