week in week out? untill today we looked a good team for 4 games or so. we started to defend and even create chances, if it wasnt for lack of strikers we could have won more games.

56% possession today but sadly the cutting edge of porridge in and around the box. Movement off the ball was dire and no creativity again. Dubious penalty and two errors especially the back pass but saying that we were never going to win today! WBA I believe we're shocking today and SHA only drawing we may have a full set of WMs clubs in the championship with Walsall too! Didn't expect a win and at least we can concentrate on the league lol.

Nice to see Villa giving a young English player a chance to shine - just a shame it was Iheanacho.

31 Jan 2016 08:41:28
I thought Iheanacho was Nigerian, could be wrong tho.

56% possession no good if its all in your own half.

How can our board and owners watch as this happens. We lost 4-0 today to a good team but surely we should aspire to compete with them? No money spent, already resigned to the championship. I hate the hierarchy more and more each match. Please invest.

The simple truth is because it doesn't bother them like it bothers us, it's just like how much would you care about your company not performing too well as long as it didn't effect your job and your income? Not a lot I presume. Sadly that has what is has come down to, Randy Lerner is the only apparent support amongst the lot and he's the worst role model for any supporter ever and people give Mike Ashley stick.

In the true spirit of Iron Maiden (i. e. 'Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter') I've just bought a ticket for mine to accompany me to this afternoon's impending debacle. Blimey, there are a lot of spare tickets kicking about. Makes me think no-one is planning to turn up any more.

Most of the fans decided to Run to the hills today.24000turned out to show the board of idiots that the way they are ruining, sorry, running the club, that this what will happen as the tap door opens.
Come on board pull you fingers from up your as. And allow Garde to at least have a chance to get us a striker.
Just two days to go before you should be charged with bringing the game into disrepute by pretending to be a football club.

A few observations on today's predictable rout.

For a start it was bloody cold. A 2-pie match for me.
Swathes of empty seats, 23,000 so just over half full.
First 'fans' exodus after the penalty so just 24 minutes in
Out-sung throughout by the large MCFC contingent
After goal #2 we rallied pretty well up to half-time
Second half collapse. Utterly static defence
Gana back-pass had to be seen to be believed
Ayew was on the pitch but otherwise absent
Guzan made 2 vital saves, but obviously conceded 4 others
Mass exodus after goal 3, didn't even wait for the 4th one

Still, at least we can now concentrate on the league .

I feel I must make comment regarding the not-turning-up or walking-out protests, I bet Lerner is sitting in one of his mansions or Yachts crapping himself because Steve from Pleck and Geoff from Brownhills didn’t turn up to the match today in protest at his errant ways, or because dozens of fat bald blokes walked out and went back to the pub after 24 minutes. I bet he’s thinking ‘I really must immediately change my ways and buy the entire Barcelona strike-force before close of play on Monday or risk the Villa fans not liking me anymore’

All I felt today was a huge sense of sadness that there was almost no support for the team at all. There were a few rallies from the half-empty Holt, but City fans bawled us out, at one point singing (to the silence of the Villa fans) ‘your support is F***n S**t’ and rightly so. I don’t think staying away or walking out does anyone any favours – if I was on the pitch, the message I would get would be ‘no-one gives a s**t so why should I .

Lerner doesn't give a s**t, why be the same as him?

I left today at the final whistle determined to see it through! Can't believe how cold it was today and on leaving the overwhelming feeling for me was sadness and anger that Learner has seen our wonderful club slide to this level of dejection and hopelessness. Shame on them and here's to us bouncing straight back to the PL with a new owner in 2017/ 18. If/ when we go down I for one am going to raise my villa flag in defiance UTV.

I know replying is not compulsory but when disagree a few times there has been no comment? Always in a less tolerant mood Sunday's post loss but disagree posts with no comment leave me with what's the point? Thought the idea of banter was 2 ways otherwise I would email myself lol if it saves time please say a, b or c etc

a) it was cold
b) I was right to stay to the end
c) I had the right to feel sad and angry
d) We are a great club
e) learner and the board are to blame for current situation
f) There is now an even more aire of hopelessness and dejection
g) We are most likely to find ourselves in championship next season
h) it is right to hope to bounce straight back
I) it is right to hope we are bought in the summer
j) it is right to hope new owners will build the squad pre season2017/ 18

Alternatively just say my wine fuelled post was negative defeatist and all the above p*****ed you off something rotten! Choose k) Moan over and here's to beating WHU away next up! (See can be positive lol)
