If you was the owner of aston villa football club what's the 1 change you would make and why?

02 Sep 2016 22:51:18
I would stop road works around villa park on match days!

3 hours to get back to Leicester! Dog got booted!

03 Sep 2016 01:46:50
flackie u legend made me laugh well as much as it is a issue i don't think its down to the villa to sort out the motoways but from what i hear its partly open now weekends so the dog doesn't have to hide no more he might even get a biscuit if we beat forrest! WOOF WOOF.

03 Sep 2016 09:31:45
Redevelop the north stand wrapping it around from the trinity with a 3rd level on the Doug Ellis stand creating a beautiful 60,000 capacity horse shoe bowl with the Holte end still standing alone. I think this could happen once we are back in the premiership.

03 Sep 2016 10:19:43
3 hours ain't bad we got back to Lancaster at 4 am after Huddersfield game at home was up at 7 for work 😴😴😴.

03 Sep 2016 11:28:05
Dan that's a nightmare mate!

But very funny! And made me laugh a lot!

03 Sep 2016 15:00:49
I wish the club would have Acorns on shirts again. Brilliant kids charity.

03 Sep 2016 18:23:08
I'd like the villa park moved to Lancashire I'm sick of the m6!

03 Sep 2016 19:37:54
Haha!

03 Sep 2016 23:48:48
I'd bring a fan on to the bored of directors to have a view not only from a business minded view but a football minded and a fan minded. Tony xia brian little and mendax. good ring to that . all views covered and could only be good for the club.

04 Sep 2016 07:40:26
That's the most sensible, and possible thing you've said on her for months!
Well done kingslayer!

02 Sep 2016 20:16:06
Just read a suggestion from a very bored journalist that Stephane Sessignon might offer us a bit of something different in midfield. Maybe on a one year deal.
Thoughts chaps?

02 Sep 2016 20:34:27
No, not good enough to get in our squad now
We should now have a principal of only buying players who are better than what we have
That is how you progress as a club. Not by buying inconsistent has-beens.

02 Sep 2016 20:36:20
said this weeks ago, if you look at the players who was released by prem clubs last season and who have no team at the minute we could get half dozen if not more decent players who could still cut it at hampionship level, now they might cost few quid in wages but for a season could be worth it.

02 Sep 2016 22:15:51
I fall somewhere in the middle of you 2 chaps.
Yes, we should only buy players that are better than what we already have. However, yes you could possibly get one or two in that may offer you something a bit different to what you already have.
And that is where Sessignon comes in for me. Yes he is inconsistent, but on his day can run at defences. Something than neither Westwood or Gardener are capable of. So I think he may just work on a one year deal.

02 Sep 2016 23:02:35
Isn't running at defenders exactly what we bought Adomah for?
Let's face it. Sessignon was not good enough for an Albion side crying out for quality. So, he's certainly not good enough for us.
We no longer have Lerner in charge, We need to start thinking as big as Tony does
I know it's difficult to get used to but that is where we are now. It's great.

03 Sep 2016 13:06:53
sessignon is plenty good enough for this league but i would take him as a sub player and on a one year contract and only if he took a huge hit in wages he was on last year.

03 Sep 2016 13:43:56
Academic really as it's never going to happen. Thankfully.

03 Sep 2016 20:49:47
It does make me laugh how people keep saying how tough this league is whilst at the same team proclaiming that bang average players are good enough for a side aspiring to finish in the top 2.

03 Sep 2016 23:41:45
Sadly, I think bang average was quite a compliment!

04 Sep 2016 05:22:51
I'm in generous mood Flackie. I'm off on holiday.

04 Sep 2016 08:17:15
Me too today mate!

04 Sep 2016 08:17:24
Have a good time.

04 Sep 2016 20:27:03
You too Flackie. Nowhere near Zurgena are you?

05 Sep 2016 03:36:29
Same language!
Canaries!

02 Sep 2016 18:26:26
Probably the best news to come out of Villa Park for some time.
O'Reilly gone.
Wasted more money than my wife!

02 Sep 2016 14:38:54
Update from Lanzarote:Its hot hot hot by the pool with a San Miguel in hand and reading all things Villa on here. So happy with all the aquasistions that have been bought just 1 thought what's peoples thoughts on playing Hutton right midfield? I'm his biggest critic and as long as I got a hole in my bottom is he a defender but feel his energy and heart he could do a job there for us.

02 Sep 2016 15:29:39
If I were you Daz, I would get something else in my hand other than a San Miguel if you think Hutton should play right midfield, jeeezzz, too much pop mate.
He has got energy agreed, but that role will go to Adomah surely, with Grealish the other side then Jedinak and Tshibola sitting in the middle in front of defence, that is only IMO though.
You now have to decide what you are going to hold in your hand to replace the San Miguel! ha ha.

02 Sep 2016 16:59:28
OK Dave got a tequilla in my hand now he he, No it was just a thought that's all I was thinking more in case anyone gets injured and can fill that gap that's all as I said he is not the greatest but what he lacks in defending ability makes up for in going forward.

02 Sep 2016 18:21:40
Yeh I know what you mean Daz, only joking mate.
I still don’t fancy him in that roll, can't cross the ball, and vision for a pass is pretty dire.
Cover at best, would get rid myself and start looking at youngsters beyond Bacuna.
Cheers mate, I got a can of stella sitting next to the wife, no holiday this year, altogether aaahhhh.

02 Sep 2016 14:28:17
paddy riley sacked hooooorrrrayy.

02 Sep 2016 13:09:49
This Gabby situation makes me absolutely fume. It is beyond me that he is happy to sit on his wages, cash in and do sweet eff all. Has he got no pride or at least respect for a club he has supported and played for his whole life.

His career is over, i can't see anyone wanting to sign him in the future, that that mentality.

02 Sep 2016 13:37:57
Doesn't seem to have done N'Somnia any harm.

02 Sep 2016 15:47:42
Agree totally VillaSA, scared sh--less to leave his comfort zone, he is finished for sure now, pay him off and get rid I say, we have seen what negativity can do to a dressing room.

02 Sep 2016 16:27:40
should've sacked him last season when they had the chance, another stunner from randy.

02 Sep 2016 16:53:42
I'm not angry at Gabby to be honest. I'd happily take my inflated wages for doing sod all given half a chance; I think most would. No point getting upset about that. The people I am annoyed at are the idiots who thought he was worth a 4 year deal in the first place. We all knew that was madness
The business Tony has done in this transfer window and the decisions made regarding the culling of some of the squad paint into sharp relief the total ineptitude of the previous management team.

02 Sep 2016 18:46:42
I am really peed off with him to be honest Mendax, he has waltzed through his time at the club, and has been walking round with this bloody ego strapped on his chest thinking the club could not do without him.
In my book he will be remembered for his pathetic efforts over the last 4 years, the last couple of days have proved to me what sort of man he really is, he is prepared to sit back, pick up his money and be labelled useless, his character has been targeted, and he don’t give a dam.
Would any of us do that, I wouldn’t that’s for sure.
Sorry for being so direct but these guys take the praise when things are good, and earn a lot of cash.

02 Sep 2016 19:44:55
I actually agree Dave, I personally don't think I could just take my wages with out putting a shift in, and from the little I can assess if you mendax, I don't think you would.

These guys live a privilege life, and are role models for our kids, the message they portray is massive.
It's painful.

03 Sep 2016 15:18:35
I'm no advocate of Gabby believe me. i'm just more angry at the likes of Lerner, Riley et al who gave him the contract when the rest of us already knew he was useless
As for putting a shift in myself; yes, for reasons more to do with self-image, I suppose like to feel I am contributing at work. I'd still take any massive pay hike though!
I don't have kids (which makes me an expert on everyone else's of course) but if I did, footballers would not be their role models
p. s no need to apologise for being direct Dave.

03 Sep 2016 15:39:39
Mate I agree, but sadly, no matter what you do!
They pick their own role models!

03 Sep 2016 19:20:00
I must admit Flackie, I was thinking exactly the same thing as I typed
Like I say, not having the little sweetheart makes me a total expert
Suffice to say, none of us want to see Agbhonlahor wear the shirt again.

02 Sep 2016 09:26:26
Now that the windows shut, predicted x11's for Forest? And bench?

02 Sep 2016 15:54:52
Gollina
delaet elphick chester amavi
jedinak
admoah tishbola
Grealish
ayew kodija

steer baker bacunna gardner green mccormack gestede.

02 Sep 2016 18:41:42
McCormack has to play.

02 Sep 2016 20:28:05
Gollini

Delaet Elphick Chester Amavi

Jedinak

Admoah Tishbola

Grealish/ Ayew

Kodija/ Gestede Mccormack

steer baker bacunna gardner green Westwood

RDM should try 442 (Diamond) and give Gealish/ Ayew an attacking/ central role.

02 Sep 2016 22:14:11
4-2-3-1
Gollini
De laet elphick Chester Amavi
Jedinak tish
Adomah McCormack grealish
Kodjia

Steer Hutton baker westy Gardner ayew gestede.

02 Sep 2016 23:39:02
Would like to see a 442 diamond to be honest
Gollini (last chance)
De laet elphick Chester Amavi
Jedinak
Adomah Grealish
McCormack
Kodija Gustede

Won't happen as RDM favours 2 in midfield, would rely heavily on adomah and grealish getting back an tucking in when needed somert their not great at. However Ayew on the bench I think would be the best thing for him, bring his ego back down a few notches.

03 Sep 2016 05:50:03
Grealish should be given a more advanced central role Chris. And this team will be weak at defending as you said. Tish at LM Grealish at AM and McCormack upfornt. Use either kodjia or gestede and we will be fine.

03 Sep 2016 10:09:51
Impossible to get adomah grealish McCormack ayew kodija and Gustede into one team and tshibola won't play out wide.

02 Sep 2016 00:30:31
Right people question time for everybody as you know villa have near enough a whole new team now thanx to the dr. tony xia☆ now Who would you say is the best piece of business? my choice would be tishbola what a player he looks reminds me of ian taylor/ delph. Obv the 2 new boys we havnt seen yet but the rest we have had a little peak. as usual love hearing your views ood or bad! UTV.

02 Sep 2016 08:44:19
Tish looks a class act, completely agree money spent wise he will be the best piece of business considering his age, if we return to the prem at first time attempt then the whole team is great business though.

02 Sep 2016 09:24:57
If Elphick can stop our second half flopping I'd have to say him, finally a real captain!

02 Sep 2016 09:48:29
I think it is a tough one, I would probably say Jedinak purely because of what RDM said about how long he was trying to acquire him, he is a leader we have needed for a while. I understand he is getting on a bit, but I think he will give our team some steel, stop the negativity and capitulation and running around like headless chickens in our past games. I hope so anyway.

02 Sep 2016 07:50:07
Best bit of business was getting steve round, if he clicks with the new fella we've got in from southampton, there's a revolution acoming!
