when you look at the list of high class managers free at the minute, we have a great list to pick from.

say we will give you a contract till end of year and if you get us up we will extend it or if we don't go up and you want to stay we will talk then,

money talks in football and surely even with the right offer we could get a big name in.

02 Oct 2016 17:49:05
Then I would be looking to appoint either Villas-Boas or Capello. The latter is maybe a little difficult, but I think it's worth a try.

{Ed007's Note - What about Mark Warburton, or as he's known in the press up here Future England Manager Mark Warburton? (rofl)

02 Oct 2016 17:57:02
PAKO AYESTARÁN, STEVE BRUCE, LOUIS VAN GAAL
, ANDRÉ BREITENREITER, ROBERTO MANCINI, MARCELO BIELSA, GUUS HIDDINK,

all just a few names that as i know of are currently jobless.

02 Oct 2016 19:07:24
Quality managers, but would they want to work with what we have as players?
Would Xia be willing to pay the salaries that would be asked?
Our chances of getting a top man are at best slim.
Whatever is to be needs to be now.
Amazing numbers of posters thought DiM to be the finest choice available and it is easy to be wise retrospectively but the present situation indicates that the selection was flawed.
Tactically we are non starters, very naive and somewhat arrogant are a couple of observations.

02 Oct 2016 19:49:15
more than likely none other than bruce or big sam will come to us but that's a great list if we was willing to pay for one.

02 Oct 2016 20:10:32
I believe 2-4 of them would be interested. For instance, Mancini and van Gaal will most likely be difficult to get. Breitenreiter is a good shout, did well for Schalke 04 recently. Some quality managers, I agree.

02 Oct 2016 21:17:08
What we don't need is a manager without any recent championship experience, we've tried this with RDM proof is in the pudding.

03 Oct 2016 07:36:56
Why do they need championship experience?
The objective is the prem, start as you mean to go on.
Forget the now, plan for the future. Winning is winning where ever you are!

03 Oct 2016 08:41:54
Ok so we get a man with prem experience. and when we don't get there we sack him because he can't get us there. "Insanity is making the same mistake over and over and expecting different results", to get to the prem we need results now, to get those results now we need a manager who has experience in this very very hard intense league, not someone whose done well at a huge club in leagues where you play once a week against smaller clubs.

02 Oct 2016 13:43:06
How fair as the mad doctor been on Roberto Di Matteo yes i belive he should be sacked but social media hasn't helped him at times. would anybody give villa fan dean smith ago his done great everywhere his been! Also big sam would be great.

02 Oct 2016 14:12:48
How about David Wagner? I know Huddersfield are top but money talks and we would surely double his wages.

03 Oct 2016 16:52:04
Aim higher, mates.

02 Oct 2016 09:27:27
I liked Sherwood, at least he showed some passion. I'd like to see him given a proper go.

02 Oct 2016 15:04:51
all the names chucked about i think one that's constantly over looked is southgate, wonder if he would do the two jobs till end of the season?

02 Oct 2016 08:49:58
I said rdm would be a bad fit for villa he's a lucky manager never rated him . we need a manager who can get the players motivated an a manager that has balls neil warnock big mickmcarthy or steve bruce or maybe tim sherwood or giggs but giggs would be a gamble but players would respect him so i'd be happy with him so its got to be any of the managers i'd nanmed not mclaren or brentfords manager .

02 Oct 2016 09:47:31
Can we not do this, now his getting sacked all of a sudden no one wanted him as manager knew it wouldn't work and have never rated him, it's boring and childish.

02 Oct 2016 11:08:59
Good point Chris.

02 Oct 2016 12:43:09
The told you so brigade!

Hindsight must be a wonderful aptitude.

02 Oct 2016 00:55:19
I have been positive and I have been an advocate for giving the manager time. But after tonight, that performance was not even championship level and I can't defend the man anymore, at least the last few matches there were glimmers of hope and a possible turnaround.

Re-active and not proactive, no idea on a formation, no structure and no motivation. There are no excuses this time, we are going backwards and that is unexceptable.

02 Oct 2016 00:37:56
And Petrov would have played for us for free, I would biten his arm off in hindsight after Jedinaks performance. You can't say petrov could be worse.

02 Oct 2016 09:48:45
Been thinking this for a while, we've got an issue with not enough midfielders who can pass a ball yet we've got a player without a club, fit enough and would play for nothing sitting there not being used.

02 Oct 2016 10:29:49
Get real, it would of taken petrov at least half a season to get anywhere near the fitness level required, heart ruling head me thinks.

02 Oct 2016 10:29:08
Jedinak is carrying a niggling injury (apparently) but is trying to play for the good of the team, unfortunately it hasn't come off, what can you say?

02 Oct 2016 11:12:42
Come on guys. Stan, as great a story as it would have been, was never the answer
He's 36 and spent 2 years fighting leukaemia.

02 Oct 2016 11:24:16
Jedinak looks like his 46 and looking for a pay day so far.

02 Oct 2016 17:45:17
Jedinak being poor does not make Petrov any better.

02 Oct 2016 18:51:04
I watched Jednaik v Newcastle and thought " he looks like a worn out Rugby player trying to play football! If he Is carrying an injury fair play to him for having a go but we need him to get up to speed and quickly. Westwood needs to get a bus out of Birmingham before he's in big trouble! Average player at his tip top best.
