As I stated a couple of weeks ago I felt sherwoods honeymoon period was over, players tend to give that extra 10% when a new gaffer comes in I hope he has seen how bad gabby and nzobia is headless chickens springs to mind, Westwood is always looking to receive a pass but he just hasn't got that killer ball, vlarr is not mobile enough Hutton has steped up to the plate but couldn't cross the road, we have so many players to try and get in,

Flackie, I'm not saying that I'm not happy little timmy done what he braught in to do, and the cup run was a bonus I just hope when he said that there will be a clear out that gabby and the likes are considered, we need to be trying to get a better calibre of player if Big Ben goes there will be plenty of money to spend and I think I trust sher wood with that money because he knows how to play the game right

I couldn't agree more.
I'm sorry, just so angry that all that is now posted on here is complete negative, s**t.
No optimism, no positive, no constructive advice. Just insults thrown at players, coach, owner and manager.
Even the past managers are still getting the s**t.
Sherwood should be knighted for the way he turned out standard of football around. He had the same players.
Yes the final was a disaster, yes the previous two games to the final where the same.
Southampton, you hold your hands up, they had us. Every attack looked like scoring, we didn't.
Burnley, can you blame the players for having Wembley on their minds? I can't.
Arsenal, I personally can only think of possibly two teams in Europe that would of lived with them on that form.
Sherwood has never had a pre season as a manager. Never had a transfer window.
We owe it to him to let be what will be.
I hope the ownership changes.
But I hope this negative, grey cloud that lives over our club and fans leaves before Lerner. As let's be honest, it's contagious, depressing and so boring.

Flackie's right. We are all disappointed with how the season ended but the most important thing is that Sherwood got us enough points to keep us up and the quality of football and results have improved under his tenure than when Lambert was in charge. I've made it clear before that Tim has earned the chance to have a go at rebuilding the team, and having never been afforded the opportunity to operate in a transfer window before, its too soon to judge how he will do, especially with so many variables like the ownership situation, Benteke's situation and the sheer number of players which need moving on. Just so long as he looks further than Spur's cast offs, Keeps Lamberts good work in mind and keeps the wage bill appropriate and doesn't sign players with zero resale value - there is cause for optimism.
