Please no Villa, if McCormack is deemed to expensive for his age or whatever do not go and spend money on Ricky Lambert, please no. Also if McCormack is too expensive why didn't we persue Gayle and have let him go to the Magpies? Hopefully we do get McCormack and of not Bamford or someone with a good championship goal scoring record, preferably one that's not on his last legs and a month away from a hip replacement.

Is anyone gutted we didn't sign gayle because iam he would of been quality hope we don't miss out on mccormac else we will struggle to score goals . i think gested will bang the goals in this season he did ok last term with little service . also does anyone know wots going on with jordon aweu.

so gutted his better than ross mcormack 29 we really needed him are we really gona pay 10 mill 4 a 29 year old worlds gone mad they paid that 2 years ago 4 him.

Paying 10.11.12.or 15 million is a bargain long term. providing he gets the service he will get 25 plus goals. so forget his age. he is being brought to the club to get aston villa promoted nothing else. promotion will be worth 160 million tv money etc. spending 15 million now is a great investment in my humble opinion.

We will go for mcormack, Newcastle have Revealed their hand by going for Gayle, while Villa have been clever and waited for the better player in my book. Mcormack is experienced, proven and still able with the right service. We need a striker to fire us back and he's the man even if its £12 or £15million get him in now! Lambert maybe as back up could be an option and then a number of good solid positions filled and a flying winger to go with Adama T.

We really should be going in for players like Kemar Roofe of Oxford.
This guy has got it all, born in Walsall and has to be worth a shout, I suppose you could call him a rough diamond, but RDM could polish him up nicely I think.
He can play on treacle and bowling greens, so a perfect fit for the Championship.
Go get him Villa, he will go far given the opportunity.

Totally agree, he is ready for the step up - I'd take Calum O'Dowda of their hands as well, he looks very promising.

Looks like a few clubs will want him. Love it if we went an got the lad, along with a few more exciting prospects. I'm hoping we don't end up buying a bunch of experienced players but more of an equal balance of the two. The Walsall left back/ winger would be near the top of my shopping list too.

Kemar roofe will cost at least 5-9 million, if ross mcshortmack will cost 12-15 million you got to start thinking budget, so if ross makes the pilgrimage then we have 15 mill (in theory), we've already spent 3 mill on boon's boy, so 12 mill roughly to buy at least 5 players, you can see rdm's logic for r. lambert, time to sell again unfortunately, unless dr. x forks out, my bet, gueye to marsailles, amavi maybe loaned out, see ya veretout, adieu to ayew and maybe westwood too, wheel and deal time me thinks.

Id love to see a midfield general like somebody that loves to get stuck into a tackle to break up the play help to back line a bit a Keane or a Vieira type.
