Loads of empty seats at vp tonight, has lambert lost the fans as well as the players? Not very loyal bunch are you? Can't take the rough, just the smooth.

Mid week game against a geordie team who has been found out

Agree2 Disagree0

Dont come on our site questioning our loyalty when a lot of us spend our hard earned wage following our club I bet your idea of renewing your season ticket is to buy a new settee stick to your own site you plonker.

Agree3 Disagree0

Smooth? I forget what that was?

Agree0 Disagree0

Whoever you are or support have you noticed the country is in the midst of a double dip recession? Think maybe people can't afford the £100+ expenditure of going to a football match? Think maybe reduced attendances across the UK may have something to do with other priorities? Food, clothes, heating? If you can afford to go home & away to follow your team everyweek then good for you but keep your observations to yourself & worry about your own business.

Agree0 Disagree0

Assuming you are a Newcastle fan? Remind me what you have won again? Where were all your fans when you were scratching about in the lower leagues where you belong? We may be going through hard times at the moment but can I point out we are and always will be a bigger club than you. You aren't and never will be a big club.

Agree2 Disagree0

Mid week games also suffer as people have jobs

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats why we are sold out for t onights match. Your fans piled out on the 70th minute, very good support

Agree0 Disagree0

An you Newcastle fans stay till the bitter end when your losing, typical Geordie you are thinking your the best most passionate fans in the world

PL needs to bring in a cm. bannan is probably not even championship quality. He is a useless player who gets shrugged off the ball and can hardly pick a pass out in the right direction. As for width, gabby agbonlahor should 100% be playing on the wing, just look at the start of the second half at Newcastle? God can only tell me why he was moved into a CF position. With zoggy on the other wing, our wide men are sorted. Upfront we have weimann and benteke

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Should definatley pklay 442 for rest of the season. duune is out again !
so we definitely need a signing in defence and dfm ! if not then I would play

guzan

lowton vlaar clarke baker

nzogbia westwood delph agbonlahor

weimann benteke

stop playing the 3 man defence it not working ! And need to play the second half constantly for 90 mins and we shall be okay !!

UP THE VILLA !!!!

Agree1 Disagree0

There you are lerner just goes to show what can happen when you spend some money, newcastle look a totally differant side now, they will go on and climb to safety now and reap the benefits of the money available next season, while we will struggle in the championship AND MISS OUT ON 60+ MILLION. THANKS FOR THAT

Believable2 Unbelievable2

It's just frustration and disappointment at the moment - why do 100 percent of villa fans know we need an experienced CM and CH, yet the muppets in charge don't see it or realise we need to act in the transfer Market?!! I've actually given up.... Don't even know what the answer is, because if we sack PL, who in their right mind would take on such a shambles?!

Agree3 Disagree0

I think we probably will go down, but I watched the game and Newcastle hardly look a completely different team.

Agree1 Disagree0

VILLA WILL FINISH BOTTOM, played well 2nd half, there best not good enough, don't like saying this lambert fault

Agree1 Disagree0

Newcastle fan here in peace... we were unreal 1st half, but ye played brilliant 2nd half if ye play like that and we do aswell hopefully both of us survive....best of luck for rest of season...

Aston Villa will not be making any signings during the current transfer window, according to their manager Paul Lambert.

Paul Lambert

tv writes that Lambert's opinion is that Villa cannot afford to spend their way to survival by the time the transfer window shuts on Thursday.

With the Villans sitting just a single point above the relegation zone, and exits from both domestic cup competitions at the hands of lower league opposition within the past week, top flight survival appears to be the only remaining target for the Midland club this season.

Look let's get thing into perspective. RL is not looking to sell the club, he is treating Villa like one of his businesses which is unfortunately short term frustrating and worrying but he is setting the foundations for the club for the future. As a club we cannot afford to pay £80k per week to players who undermine and belittle the club and think nothing of standing in front of junior players and using them to oust managers ( Collins and Dunne with Houlier and Mcliesh)
I understand what PL is trying to do he is trying to get players that WILL have ability for EPL cheap. If you run your own business the way Oneil was running it you wouldn't have a business. I think somewhere PL has a 5 year plan, my only issue is the club needs to communicate this with fans. We have one of the best academies in Europe so to not be using it is stupid. People talk about villa be sleeping giants, well we have a few more years yet of slumber.

You can also end up like Notts forest there's to many to mention
