Alarm bell now ringing loud for me guys! What on earth is going on, never mind this talk about selling Gana and Richards we need to make signings now and worrying about the rubbish later! Something clearly isn't right with our new owner, he has pontificated and promised but what has actually happened? Why do I get the feeling its Aston Villa all over again for the 3rd time in my life, Deadly Doug, Lerner and now the Doc! Its the same patturn, the same promises and then the same wall of silence from the depths of a sleeping giant. Any man with our new owners rumoured or estimated wealth would be spending now even if only in the short term to protect his investment "return it to the premiership" his apparent caution alarms me, and points to the unthinkable. Has he got the backing we are encouraged to believe? I'm not so sure!

I agree with Mr know it all 100% Don't be fooled into thinking we should take our time, its all nonsense ask Paul Merson! I will say it again we need to sign players NOW before its too late. Villa_Ken never mind telling people to pipe down, we all need to make a stand and start asking questions loud and clear! Is this guy going to put his money where his mouth is or are we playing in the Championship next season?! By the way Paul Merson is entitled to an oppinion and by the way he was a world class player who probably understands the game better than most of us having played it at top level! The chairman has stated on several occasions now that money is available . However unless football has changed since Xia took over, isn't it the managers job to spend it?
So I'm right in what I'm saying . You are running down a chairman who has more visibility than Lerner ever had . For not spending money?
It's the mangers job to get the players he wants in, he may well say to Xia, do you know what let's start with a clean slate, all the players are going to fight for the cause . And I (RDM) have enough quality in the squad to gain promotion! It's RDM's job to get us promoted and it's him we have to trust

Yes we're a big club, yes I love villa, no we shouldn't be in the championship and last season broke my heart .

The players returned from holiday 2 weeks ago . To which this is the first time RDM has had to work with them 1st hand . Let the manager asses his needs and stop behaving like a spoilt child .

What gets posted on here is of no relevance in terms of DiM buying .
The manager has his own team making recommendations.
Face facts, Xia promises seem hollow.
Many on here go by facts and are blasted as negative and this is unacceptable.
We all want to see players coming in and a quick return to the prem yet we wait and wait. I hope that targets are in place and that quality will arrive.
Only at year end will we know if success has been achieved regardless of what is posted on here.
AND dare I say that if some of the posts on here were said face to face, many would end up with facial damage.

Old villain, like everyone I want new players signed . However let's be constructive in our criticism shall we!
If indeed the chairmans promises are empty ones then only time will tell . Xia can only be judged after time and that certainly in greater Than 4 weeks
I wouldn't mind the way a lot of you talk is like we are Manchester United and have suffered a dramatic fall from grace .
We have as a football club suffered since 1984 onwards . Yes there was moments of sheer happiness . Brian little years, Coca Cola cup and fa cup finals etc but in all honesty we flirted with relegation during the reign of Ellis, and Lerner .
I would much prefer to get things right take our time and build a foundation better than the one we had . And if that means staying in the championship for a couple of years then so be it .
I would prefer to win than not . At 37 years old I have supported villa my entire life . Through thick and thin .
I would prefer to win then be a mid table premier league club . Because our club is better than that .
I would also happily put my views across face to face . Are my views right, well maybe not but atleast there not rediculous which is what some of them are on here .
Support the team, thick and thin . Don't like it them support the glory teams like man united . I'm VTID.
