Aston Villa 2 vs 0 Leeds that's my prediction for the next match.

27 Dec 2016 17:43:14
Is that the score you predict for every game?! Lol.

28 Dec 2016 16:26:32
Yes and one day i might get the wright results.

28 Dec 2016 17:05:45
Haha! Touché! 😏.

27 Dec 2016 15:09:59
Great too see Xia turning down a offer for Amavi but will he hand a transfer request?25 million is a lot of poke to be fair would you let him go if you was chairman?

27 Dec 2016 15:59:11
I would let him go.
But if they where watching him yesterday they would retract the offer!

27 Dec 2016 17:10:22
Add a huge fee for Ayew from the Chinese and we could have 1 he'll of a war chest for January, say £40M+

27 Dec 2016 17:32:02
In a normal world Amavi would be worth about 15mil, the prices people pay today 25-30 mil is about today. So I could see why it would be attractive but we sell him and then begins the same thing that happened under Lerner, we need to keep our best players and add to them, sell cissoko, sell Kozak, don't sell the first team add to it! However ayew isn't first team anymore, he's been good coming off the bench but as a starter he hinders the team, if China stump up 30 mil then let him go and buy players that add to the squad, brady, Lansbury, Hughes.

27 Dec 2016 21:44:52
If we sell Amavi, we have to play Cissokho, such is the paucity of our squad in the fullback position
That should clarify things.

27 Dec 2016 22:30:25
He's replaceable at that money, and if I can read between the lines, would be likely to put in a transfer request to force a move, take the money and run

UTV.

27 Dec 2016 23:20:41
Young, Barry, Milner, benteke, downing - all replaceable for the money we got, didn't happen. We have to learn from the past, not just repeat it and expect different results. Don't understand how your reading between the lines and getting that he would put a transfer request in? Because the media said so? The same lot that said we was going to sign half of Chelseas reserves the moment Di matteo was announced, they pull things out of a hat to sell a story, don't read into it at all. Amavi writing all over his social media and in interviews how his happy where he is and wants us to get up the table should reassure you enough.

28 Dec 2016 00:56:39
Why sell our better players just because of a flattering offer? Successful teams don't sell their best players, why should we!

28 Dec 2016 05:32:40
Exactly finch.

28 Dec 2016 11:27:32
Erm. we're not a 'successful' team at the moment? Get out of this division with players suited for the battle, if it takes selling 1 left back to buy 3 players better than what we've got, makes total sense to me. The players we sold and never replaced was mismanagement and piss poor running of a Premier league club. Southampton replaced their overpriced players and ain't done too bad?

UTV.

28 Dec 2016 12:59:33
Why sell the best left back in the league who will help us get out of here, for a profit- that by all accounts we don't need, to sign players that we can buy anyway with this extra cash, to get to the prem the new players be redundant and not good enough and then go looking for a left back that is good enough? Makes no sense. Southampton are a regular mid table team, what have they won? What real success will they ever have doing what they are? Is that what we want really, we should keep our best players and build on them.

28 Dec 2016 13:47:22
I do agree not to sell the best players.
But however, I'm not sure I think he is that great any way.
25m buys a much better class of player than him.

28 Dec 2016 14:07:20
Or. sell 'arguably' the best left back in the division, replace him with someone like Kieron Gibbs as an example for around £5M (he's into the last 18 months of his contract) spend the £20M+ still left over on 2 midfielders that we're screaming out for, and that's before selling Ayew for stupid money to the Chinese and cutting some of the 'deadwood'. Amavi is a good player, not great. Getting promoted at 1st opportunity is more important than 1 player, and at last we've got a manager and chairman that won't waste that money. We'd all kill to be in the position that Southampton are in, but they are a 'selling' club. An Aston Villa in the Prem wouldn't need to be a selling club with our chairman, I genuinely think that success is more important to him and us being successful will give him the return on his investment. The harsh reality of things is that to crack the top 4 of the Prem, you have to actually be in the Prem, and throw at least £200M+ at it.

28 Dec 2016 14:14:27
Why do we need to sell him when we don't need the money and we won't attract anyone better? Kieran Gibbs? The one who started for Arsenal yesterday? We're struggling to secure Carl jenkinson on a loan let alone Kieran Gibbs. Let's keep him and sign all these players your hoping for aswell. I'd kill to be in the prem, not specifically southamptons position, we want success not just constant mediocrity.

28 Dec 2016 15:04:21
Look at it another way.
GK Randolph WH
RB Trippier (loan view to buy)
LB Gibbs loan view to buy)
CB Chester
CB Baker
CM Jedinak
CM McCarthy EVE
CM Hughes DER
AM Adomah
AM Brady NOR
ST Kodjia

UTV.

28 Dec 2016 16:09:28
Yea but look at it realistic, Hughes brady are the only ones we have a chance at getting from that list. Randolph is first choice at West Ham, trippier would have premier league interest, Gibbs with Monreal injured is first team. Point still stands we don't need to sell Amavi to sign these players.

28 Dec 2016 16:15:55
The grass isn't always greener on the other side ally/ flackie which was also a lambert quote Re benteke and look where he ended up aswell as Aston villa football club. we could sell amavi make a tidy profit then sign the players you mentioned but it doesn't mean they'll be a success playing for the villa.
It's more of a risk to sell and replace a player, which has been proved time an time again in football.

28 Dec 2016 16:23:18
Fair enough, need to wheel and deal then. Is everyone still dark on selling the naming rights for VP to make funds available? Would still be Villa Park to us?

UTV.

28 Dec 2016 16:44:39
Don't think think we need anything to gain funds ally from what's being reported, we are on the right side of FFP and we have funds available. Keep our best players and add quality, two centre mids are needed with atleast one going out. Left mid/ winger and a right back and we are looking very strong.

28 Dec 2016 16:50:20
Sounds then Chris, nice 1 👍🏻

Bunn
Hutton baker elphic Amavi
Bacuna Jedinak grealish
Adomah McCormack kodja

That would be my team for Leeds, essentially 5 across the middle when we haven't got the ball, harder to break down won't get overrun. Bacuna has shown his best position is in the middle as a box to box midfielder, grealish has to start and although kodja is wasted out wide it would only be whilst we weren't in possession. When we've got the ball it would be a 433 with jack pushing up as a number 10. Jack and Ross work brilliant together down the centre and adomah and kodja can go wide or cut in. Only problem is I remember they had that Bartley at the back who was liked a battle, with Ross in the middle we can't just pump it up, the whole formation would be reliant on us having the ball on the deck where our players are undoubtedly better. That and if we are going to pump it up, put it out to the left where kodja vs their right back, we should always be winning the header!

Chester?

27 Dec 2016 13:43:40
Yea Chester not elphic, my bad.
