Use our rumours form to send us aston villa transfer rumours.

I wouldn't worry to much about this 'takeover' because apparently it's based on us staying in the premiership and the only way that's going to happen is if the teams below us loss every game.

How embarrassing was that show Saturday and Lambert doesn't seem to see it as he keeps saying the same thing on his interviews.

Thoughts on that?

Have you actually looked at the table?
We DON'T need all the teams below us to lose every game.
We're in trouble, that's for certain. But we don't need people stating things that are clearly untrue

Agree0 Disagree0

Fulham is the team that could cause us a problem. Norwich have Chelsea and arsenal. Both fighting for there own cause so Norwich will get nothing or even if they fluke a point not enough. Cardiff will finish bottom and are not a worry. It's Fulham that worry me if a cruel twist of fate was to go against us. They have Stoke away and palace I think at home. Now they would need to win both as if they won one and got a draw they would be on same points as we are now and our goal different is better. On form all season they would not do this but they are also not worrying games that look impossible and on there day they could win both and drag us in unless we get another 3 point's to take that worry away.

Its in our hands. A home win vs hull and we stay up so let's get behind the lads and get rid of the negativity for 5 minutes. Finch

I think the Hull equaliser will have an effect on Fulham. They must have been gutted
As Finch says though, it's in our hands. Let's get it sorted on Saturday

Fulham win against Stoke & Palace we will be down so pretty sure all this talk of owners is premature! Lambert has to go at the end of the season or even before as Mcleish got sacked for less!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Forget all about what other teams have to do, we need to beat Hull END OF.

If we do that we will be OK, so how about we all turn up and lift the roof of the place and get behind the team.

That might not go down well with some, but let's get real here.

We need three points don't we, so let's play our part in this and raise the roof from start to finish.

Hull don't normally bring a lot of fans so we should only be able to hear villa fans on Saturday.

I agree, villadave. I don't worry, Aston Villa will be in Premier League next season too. Will be an easy win against Hull in my opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

On what basis could you possibly conclude that it will be an easy win against Hull?
Don't get me wrong, I hope you are right but there is nothing whatsoever in the way we have played at home for the past 2 seasons to suggest that Hull at home will be an easy game.

To be honest we are in a good position to avoid the drop and if we don't get the three points we need we can rely on other results. For any of the bottom three to catch up with us or over take us they have to:

Cardiff need to win both of there games and have Newcastle and Chelsea. Can't see them winning both of them.

Fulham have to also win both of there games. They have to face Stoke and Crystal Palace who are both on good runs of form at the moment, so can't see that happening either.

Norwich have to win one game by 10+ goals to catch up with us or win one and draw the other. But they have to face Arsenal and Chelsea who both need the points to challenge.

UTV!

Lets keep our destiny in our own hands and let's all get behind the team, let's get these 3 points!

I will state ow I am a Norwich supporter, I am not what you would call a troll as I view comments from various sites. I look at this site for obvious reasons, Lambert, the man you alll hailed as your next Messiah! well here's my assessment, Mr Lambert ran before he could walk by joining Villa, it has been proven he can not hack it in the premiership and has brought Villa to the brink of relegation as you are by no means safe, it makes me laugh to hear you all calling for Frank Rikard as your next Manager!

Reality check guys! after West Broms win today they are a more desirable club to manange than you! do you really think Frank would come to you? I respect what you had at Villa but you are living in the past! forget the big buyout and payday, you are in massive danger of ending up like Leeds, once European heroes ending up in a stats of disarray.

The bigger the Club the bigger the fall!

{Ed007's Note - No chance of Norwich falling any further, you can't get any lower than chanting 'Liverpool' today!}

You support Norwich?
Have you not got more to worry about?
A very dull rant about Villa is not going to help
I thought is was just Birmingham fans who were so small minded that they were more interested in Villa than their own club
Lambert left you 2 years ago mate. Get over it

Agree0 Disagree0

We are much more likely to get took over and get the big payday as you put it than Norwich are. I'd worry about your club as they along with Cardiff and Fulham will keep us up.

Robinson looked sharp when he came, given a chance personally I think he would get goals PL will probable go with Holte . Delph Gabby and Andre seem poor. KEA there must be a better player on the books

Well said Ed by the way

{Ed007's Note - Cheers Mendax, sometimes things just need to be said. I take it Liverpool are Norwich fans' 'big' team?}

I hate to say this and have loved villa for early 40 years but a lot of what he just said is true

Agree0 Disagree0

Norwich would want Liverpool to win purely because we play Chelsea next week, had they lost they would be out of the title race and have nothing to play for, as it is they are still in it and will give it everything.

Norwich still have that chip on their shoulder? Wow!
Well they had their little premier league experience and can live in the past about those three seasons when they return to the lower leagues. Times have been very low at villa park yes, but once the season is over if we remain in the prem then things will change. What will not change is the name Aston Villa will still appeal to many in Europe and the UK. European Cups and bags of silverware as well as being in the prem for over twenty years does not fade away. Yappy little upstarts like Norwich have come up and gone down before. Enjoy the derby against Peterborough and Ipswich next season and snipe away at other clubs when they pinch your players, say hello to Walsall for us in 2015
