Seems like on here people will settle for anything at villa an have no winners wouldn't want any of you lot in charge doesn't anyone remember when we won trophys an challenged for titles obivously not jesus this is astonvilla not lincoln or wolves or the blues god we are still the fourth or fifth biggest club in england history wise come show some passion i must admit flackie we quite simirlar mate in our views but some of others don't no but i want people to be passionate bout villa like iam it wouldn't bother me if villa were in league two i'd stil go an watch them i'm no part time supporter I've seen the bad times at villa many of times but seen some good times to i remember being at vpark when we beat intermilan in the 90s an going to wembley against man u league cup when we won . and seen venglos taylor olleary nearly take us down so no can crticise me i might go on so be it that doesn't mean i should get crticised enough said.

Villa1980, you seem to get uptight very quickly mate.
There are lots of vry passionate people who post on this site every day, me included.
I was a regular a villa park and away grounds when we were in the third division me old china.
That is part of being a football fan, good with the bad as they say, having said all that it does not make me a better supporter than another man who can only go once a month.

Flackie, i never boo my team no matter what i get annoyed who doesn't as for wanting the next man to go if we lose, that's stupid talk mate. it could david cameron in charge of villa and i'd still be the same mate. i gave sherwood six months and knew he wasn't right mate, but i'd rather Aston villa get the best then settle for second rate managers like we have had mate.

Well i would love to be a fly on the wall when it comes to villas interview proces poyet shouldn't even have a sniff at villa if we get this one wrong then its bye byes for villa we could do a portsmouth its making me angry that we haven't got in touch with moyes advisers or agent what are we playing at surely he's the stand out candiate none of the others can come close wot is rlerner doing its simple offer moyes the job u dustan sell the club to him an have a plan to get us out this mess an if we get out of this it will be like the great escape.

How can you be angry before we have even really started looking.

We are in this together, sink or swim. WHO ever is brave enough to come to villa in this mess, it's their reputation, their career. If they think they can sort this mess out, we owe them our support. Not to be 'angry' because you think you know better, or feel we should go a different way.

And I happen to agree with you, in that I would prefer dm, what I won't do, and excuse me if I have read your posts wrong, is think unless it's my way, it's the wrong way, thus meaning failure, what I won't do is almost demand failure just to say 'I told you so!'
Who ever gets the job, I won't be 'angry' with, I will give my 100% backing to, until the end.
I won't dictate, I won't demand, and I won't accept 2nd best.
We all in this as one, people should get off any high horse they sit on, realise the mire we are in, stand as one, together, fighting, slagging and bickering is counter productive.
Also, 'arm chair fan?!' Really?? Get a grip!! Some can't get to the games,
1) cost
2) family
3) work
Loads of reasons. Just because you go to games, doesn't make you more of a fan, or a God given right to preach.

Ultimately there is no silver bullet here
Moyes or Guardiola, it doesn't matter. There is something rotten at the heart of the club (we all know who it is)
Unless real investment is made available in January for 3-4 players at a level about that which we have at the minute, and in the areas where we are particularly deficient, we are buggered
We need a new goalkeeper, a right-back, an aggressive ball winner in midfield and a speedy forward who knows where the net is. Then we need to pray that they all stay fit until the end of the season.

just been scouring all the on line news with regards TS and it seems Remi Garde is the hot favourite, i can see why villa are interested in him, he worked with no money what so ever at lyon had to sell his best players to invest and worked with the young kids from academy finishing 3rd 4th and 5th, he has prem experience as a player and good tactical knowledge so they say, think i would be happy with him over some of the names that's being banded about i even read now is the time to go and get chris houghton or sean dyche! really wtf, someone living in cloud cuckoo land! well whoever gets the job got lot of work to do may the force be with you as i know the villa fans will be!
