35 years ago today I was lucky enough to be at the match and see the Villa crowned, in Rotterdam, as champions of Europe.
In 1957 my father was saw them win the FA cup at Wembley.
I have followed the Villa through 62 years of thick and often very thin (remember the third division days) .
Keep the faith, history has proved that, no matter how long it may take, the good times do return.

Hope Tony Xia's heart problem is now behind him and he is on the way to full recovery. I love what he is doing at the club i have supported for the last 58 years.

In my opinion there is no way we want to lose Steve Bruce, there is no way Kodjia will leave (who is going to sanction a spend of £30mil on someone who has a broken ankle? )

The dead wood need to be shipped out as soon as possible. Richards, Gabby, gil, bunn, Gardner, Elphick. Vertout (but would like to keep him if he can agree to stay and perform) possible other sales Amavi, bacuna. I think this could raise 20-25 mill to strengthen. Play offs are a minimum requirement for next season. 4 positions required to be strengthened - Keeper, Centre half, playmaker, pacey left sided wideman.

Just had a arguement on twitter who said sack Bruce and get Monk and people agreed with him are people serious? So I will you guys Bruces or Monk if Monk wanted Villa. My view was Stick with Bruce proven.

26 May 2017 12:48:21
Bruce no question. We do need to find a system that works and stick to it but I'd be confident we are top 2 next season.

26 May 2017 13:45:50
I am not a Bruce fan at all never wanted him but I agree he needs his new signing now to gel,
If we see we are not inproving by Christmas then a change could happen,
We do need stability but Bruce needs to find out in preseason the correct system to play and stick with it,
That is my gripe with Bruce tactically!
But I hope it works for all our sakes,

Garry monk is a cracking young manager, but come on guys the bruce is proven in champianship. He hasn, t done bad, an he now has the preseason to work with the players plus maybe bring in four or five players. that's if he can unload surplus to requirements players, just offloadin them will be no mean feat, Then there, s the stabillity of the club. Dr tony and the bruce as well as the other staff have come a long way to achieving that. Personallyi say stick with the bruce.
